I'm more impressed with Cal than Julio this year by far. Also looks like Julio was rushed out there for Sunday Night Baseball tonight.
Bro. He hasn't batted for a month. This is basically his rehab games, but against major league pitching instead of minors. His timing is now completely off. WTF did you expect? 3 hits? Lol 🙄

Glad they got the win but sending out Julio today was yet another awful (just plain awful) decision by Servais. Throw your young franchise player out there coming off foot injury and he goes 0-5 with 5 strikeouts. Could have pulled him and replaced him with Turner at least. But no.
I have zero confidence these coaches are going to develop our hitting farm. None

Which is why you don't play him. Throw an injured Julio out there on national television and watch him strike out 5 times when you have Turner who could have DH'd today. LMAO. He was rushed because it's Sunday Night Baseball and Servais tried getting cute again. It's terrible managing and to do that to a young budding star is pathetic. It's so dumb you can't really explain it you just end up coping and trying to come up with an excuse. Just call it out, man. It's bad managing.

This could go on for 100 years and you'd still not get it. Throw an injured Julio out there on national television and watch him strike out 5 times when you have Turner who could have DH'd today. Wrong. You need Julio going again as fast as possible. He needs at bats to get back going.

Terrible coaching sweeping one of the best teams in baseball and beating them 12 to 1... Dude you'll never get it. You're biased against Scott. What did he do to you to make you skew everything negative? Or are you just the type of person that can never admit when they are wrong or make mistakes?

So if everyone involved in the process says Julio is good to go, Servais shouldn't play him because what if he has a bad game? LOL, wtf?

He's one of our best and most important players. If he's medically cleared to play, you play him.

I've seen a lot of ridiculous, petty, nit-picky criticisms of Servais on here, but this one has got to be near the top of list. Just straight asinine nonsense.

It was a great move you're right.

For being one of the "best and most important players", his plate approach sure makes my eyes bleed a lot. His pre-injury "resurgence" notwithstanding.

Almost a decade of not developing any hitters or putting them in the best position to succeed and some y'all still don't get it.
It was a bad move to give Julio 5 at bats especially when he's striking out in every one of them. It was insulting, honestly. It hurts Julio and his psyche more than anyone.

His trajectory is worrisome. Look at his career stats through each season. It's not good. They paid him and now they throw him out there like a rag doll while Scotty stands there and watches him strike out 5 times on ESPN. Great coaching, good job helping the dude out. The Mariners haven't developed one (uno) hitter in the past ...how many years now?

I'm sure any good manager would've been like, "Oh, my franchise player is good to go? Well I'm not gonna play him because what if he has a bad game and it hurts his feelings." Lol.

4 games since the break with at least 10 runs.
22 runs against the Mets staff is big and 1 run off the M's staff is ridiculous!

Yet you celebrate Cal... You're an enigma wrapped in a riddle. You contradict yourself constantly, but never admit when you fail.
