Wow, he was BAD last year. Maybe they just want to look at guys they can sign off the street if we suffer a rash of QB injuries, otherwise this speaks badly to the other camp arms we've brought in this off-season.

Yeah, he was 15/31 248 yards, 1 TD 2 INTs. That was the only TD he threw in five games last season (2 starts).

Last season: 48.6% comp, 674 yards, 1 TD 5 INTs
Career 21 games (9 starts): 5-4 record somehow. 54.6% comp, 2135 yards, 6 TD 16 INTs

He's not a rushing threat, with just 80 yards and no TDs on 31 career attempts, he's also 5'11" and 29 years old.

Hardly going to make or break our season or anything, but I can't help wondering what the point is. Maybe he's a good film guy with a future in coaching.

First impression: throws with anticipation 10/10
Biggest Geno detraction: does not
Conclusion: Geno fuel

It appears this is still a pending signing.

No news on the team site but CBSsports.com transactions page reports he was signed on Thursday.

Somebody is either very slow to report the signing and the needed corresponding move or someone is ahead of the news in reporting Walker being signed.

Needless to say there seems some confusion here.

it would seem to be the later as the team wouldn’t wait 2 days to report the signing or the necessary crreponding cut.

In order to create a roster spot to sign Walker the team waived undrafted free agent defensive tackle Buddha Jones with an injury designation. As a result of the injury designation, should Jones clear waivers he will revert to injured reserve, where he will remain until he is recovered or until he is released with an injury settlement." 👉 https://www.fieldgulls.com/2024/6/1...aive-udfa-to-make-room-on-roster-buddha-jones"
