Bush, although he didn't grade out well on PFF, by my eye seemed to be much stickier in coverage than Brooks and for sure, Bobby.

All for seeing him on the field and letting Diggs and Love handle the back end.

Bush is plenty quick enough to stay with Te's and scat backs out of the backfield.

Good move IMO

Well at least he's now got a position b/c he's pretty weak as a off ball ILB. However, he is fast and perhaps that speed can be of help as a bog Nickle.

I think PFF loved him enough, certainly loved him more so than our DE Jones. Again, based on PFF's evaluations, Bush tackle well, that's tackle well before joining the Hawks. My question: Does he has enough bulk to tackle Derrick Henry who is 6'3" 247 lbs when our Bush is 5'11" and 234lbs?

Not just Bush but I hope the entire Seahawks defense is practicing the proper technique of tackling. If not, it could get ugly with King Henry running wild.
Does anybody remember in 2014 , when PC released a " how to tackle video " ? He should dig that out and show it to the defense . :)

And here I thought this was going to be about the fact that he has a baby due this week. Last I heard it hadn’t come yet and there is a chance he doesn’t play this week because of it. I understand sitting out for the birth, I just hope it doesn’t come down to either/or

Love is the one who's wife is due any time.

They're basically making Bush a safety to use in their heavy nickel. Makes sense now that they're short of safeties and Bush is kind of a tweener anyway. 4.43 40 with a 1.5 split and a 6.9 3-cone isn't great for a safety, but it's acceptable if his football quicks are decent.

Besides, TEN will be relying on the run more than the pass and Bush has appeared to be decent in the run game.

Combine score wise, Bush compares favorably with Jamal:

Bush5'11"234 lbs4.431.540.510'4"6.934.2321

ET35'10"202 lbs4.431.56329'5"21
Kam6'3"231 lbs4.621.6329'8"7.364.4122

and Bush tackled well according to PFF. To play safety, he might benefit from slimming down a bit too:

I'd never seen Adams combine scores before. Very surprising.

I'm guessing he just had a bad combine because his numbers aren't those of the super athlete that I've been hearing about. I've never been a fan of Adams or his play style, but he appeared quicker and faster than his combine would indicate.

Bush's numbers are better across the board except 20-yard split and top speed in the 40 (not shown but only ~18.5).

Turning Bush into a SS may be worthwhile. It looks like his only drawback as a safety is he can't carry WRs and faster TEs downfield. His size is a HUGE plus.

I added Digg, ET3 and Kam to the combine comparison, and he compared favorably. Of course his athleticism isn't what it was like before his major injuries, and combine warriors often do not succeed in the league.

My guess is that he'll be more like a third LB than a third safety.

You’re right. I don’t know why I read this thread and just thought Love. Probabky because I’ve been waiting for a thread saying the baby came and he’s playing. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

That's what I'm thinking, too. But Hurrt did say "heavy nickel" which implies his assignment will be more SS oriented in his current bastard scheme.
