The time difference…
My interest in CFB had begun to wane even before this latest realignment. This could be the final nail in the coffin for me. They've turned their backs on some of the most loyal fans in all of sports with what they've done to WSU and OSU. Pullman and Corvallis were the only true college towns in the Pac-12. All the rest are within a large metro area, hence the attraction for the money grubbing conferences.I say we wait and see what happens over the next couple years before we go all doom and gloom. It's still college football.
Yeah, that's the crazy thing about this realignment. And it's not just the distance traveled, it's the changing of time zones. It's going to make for some inconvenient start times, especially for weekday games.Wow. Makes no geographic sense whatsoever. Are all Stanford's and Cal's collegiate teams going to have to endure that travel schedule? If so, just wow.
Notre Dame's current TV contract with NBC runs through 2025. Whether or not they remain independent depends on the marketing landscape, which could be quite different two years from now.Once ND finally takes the BIG up on their offer, they will bring Stanford along. Then Cal will just be left in the ACC without any other west coast teams.
I CURSE HIS NAME.Larry Scott was a terrible choice for Pac-12 President. He’s not solely to blame, but he owns the lion’s share of it.
