It's Adams, NOTHING he does will be good enough for plenty of you. You guys blast players every time they get injured. As if they did it on purpose. Or, blame Pete and John, as if they can predict injuries. Do you enjoy blasting a player for being injured? Honest question, do you enjoy it?
We have rookies that are banged up, and all the sudden, they are "injury prone" or it was a "wasted pick" blah blah blah.
These rookies haven't played a single down and they are already being judged. Damn. Tough crowd.

So, you don't want him to play hard? You don't want him to play the way he can? Some players only play one way, full balls to the wall. Trying to hold back can also make a guy more injury prone. Dave Wyman talks about it all the time. Using Adams CORRECTLY is the true issue.
Let him rush the QB, hybrid type position. With his speed he can change a play in an instant.

If he's going to play as hard as he can and miss numerous games to half seasons due to injuries then whats the point?

The question should be - would you rather have a Jamal Adams playing at 100% for 4 to 6 games or an Adams playing at maybe 80% to 85% for an entire season?

I don't want ANY players to play at 85 percent. Come on man, Really?
You either bring it every play, or go ride the pine. Do you honestly think that Pete would want a guy to hold back? Hell no.
Can you imagine telling any of the LOB to just "hold back" a little, or to "play at about 80 percent so you don't get hurt"
Former players like Chad Brown or Lofa?
Guys like Bennett or Cliff? They were all in every play. That's the type of guy Pete wants on his team. Ok Kam, don't hit too hard, you might get hurt
Earl Thomas, did he EVER not play all outt? Never.

Come on man.

When Adams was playing he was probably the second or third best player on the team. Its unfortunate that he got injured. We gave up a lot for him and then we gave him a huge contract then got injured again. Then we trade Neil who has been playing amazing. That's quadruple downing. That is some George Bush level of fooling. "Fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."

It's not the player's fault they paid it, or traded that much away. More power to the guy. The trade hasn't worked out, clearly. But damn, this guy gets more grief than most guys who have ever been on this team. It's a trip.

Come on Soul. You've never thrown a jab at a player like Procise or somebody of the same ilk? Players like Harvin, Procise, Eskridge, Penny, and Adams are all people that could contribute but were rarely available due to constant injuries. Adams is an easier target because of the insane trade expense and the little return accumulated from it. Nobody wishes injury to these players, but yet they always are. At some point it becomes comical how common stance or predictable they are.

I was a bit underwhelmed with Adams as a cover guy when he was on the field with us. I'd also like to see him add a little bit of humility to his personality, especially after missing so much time. Just play football. But I'm excited to have him back, and, like everyone else here, curious as hell as to how he will be utilized.

There's no sense in trading him now to me. Let's hope for good health and a rebound year for him. Then we'll see what to do with him next off season when it makes a little more sense. At worst he's going to be a huge bust relative to what we gave up for him, and we'll probably have to move on from him. At best, he returns to full health, we find the best way to utilize his talents and athletic ability, and he returns to being a dynamic player. And there's a bunch in between there.

Jamal Adams is highly disruptive. He can flat out wreck an offensive game plan. His uniqueness is why he is onboard with the Seahawks.

With only 12 games played in 2020, Jamal delivered 9.5 sacks in 2020, the most ever for a defensive back in a single year since the NFL began tracking the stat in 1982. He ranks 5th all time despite only playing in 71 games to date. And, He is highly motivated to shut down all the bleacher seat critics.

I'm looking forward to his return to the field.

Jamal Adams is a legitimate comeback player of the year candidate.

Of course you want their best, but if their bodies cant take it, some compromise needs taken. The LOB, Brown, and Lofa werent injury prone every season. Adams is. Again, if an Adams playing at 80 to 85 percent is still better than the depth behind him, I would gladly take that if it meant he was available for big games and the post season to go all out. How long has Adams been on the team? How often has he been injured? Hard facts are we are watching his body deteriorate right before our eyes. Other sports sit people for rest. Why not do the same in the NFL against lower talent teams? At least sit him for for quarters if the lead is sound.

Somebody said it a season or two ago that it would probably be a spiral downwards for Adams with past injuries compounding and his style of play and they were right. What do you do? Throw him out there and tell him to get after it and just deal with what fate hands you or try to reel it in some? I dont know. I'm just asking.

Great news! Hopefully he contributes quickly. (Otherwise they should have kept in on PUP to preserve a younger player in cutdowns.)

Can't wait to see this team play. And they have a lot of depth. Someone goes down, next man up.

Adams plays with a chip on his shoulder and which is why near the LOS he is a wrecking ball. Honestly Adams can be much better and that is scary for opposing offenses.

Bout time he did cuz Adams is a dog.

Jokes aside, in Spring, Adams looked like he put a good amount of muscle on, so I’m kind of excited to see what a thicker and stronger Adams looks like assuming the Seahawks are going to play him as a downhill box defender. In his time here he just never looked the part as a super athletic enforcer, so hopefully he comes back built up and it’s nice to know that he in the least he has probably been able to fully recover from his shoulder issues having to sit out last season.

I think the Seahawks have enough depth to allow him to work his way back slowly without putting a lot of stressful reps on his body and where he can be full health and full go going into the 2nd half of the season, I think he’s going to be in position to go off. I don’t think we’ve seen a healthy Adams yet in the 2nd half against offenses that are starting to get a little more run down from the physicality of the game.

Jordyn Brooks has made it back in record time, having gotten injured in January. Normal time per 710 is 9 months. This is 7 months since the injury.

What does that have to do with Jamal Adams? They were working out together in Texas, pushing each other.

"Brooks tore the ACL in his right knee on Jan. 1 and had surgery later that month. The Houston native spent much of the offseason rehabbing in Frisco, Texas, with Seahawks safety Jamal Adams, who's also coming off a major injury. By late spring, their training sessions included races in the 40-yard dash. Brooks said the fastest time he ran was around a 4.59, a hair over his official time of 4.54 at the 2020 scouting combine."
