Last year was an outlier, it was a perfect storm, a murphy's law situation for him.

Which worked out perfectly for the Seahawks as it greatly improved their draft capital.

*EDIT* 9er fans crack me up. They wanted to cut Lance after he threw a pick on his first drive. Now they think Lance is the eventual #1 QB because he lead a game winning drive against Denver's fodder to end the game. Haha.

Seahawk fans crack me up. If Lance plays bad, they troll Lance. If Lance plays better and a few 49er fans acknowledge that, they troll the fans.

Wilson always, literally every season, had good/great numbers. His problem is that his individual performance didn't elevate those around him. 1 drive in pre-season, where he ran the majority of his successful plays, could indicate an upswing in his performance. But it could also indicate he's reverting back to late-game hero ball. It definitely works ...sometimes.

In all reality, it would be difficult for him to play as poorly as last season. ...like MBennett said last night about the Seahawk's runn-Defense. It simply would be very hard to get worse. So he'll probably play better in '23.

The intriguing aspect to RCW, to me, is the question of his play resulting in improved personal stats or significantly more wins. To me, that was his problem in Seattle: solid personal stats in games we lost. Will improved QB play result in Denver heading to the playoffs or just RCW claiming he's not the problem...???

Or really, not this at all. Wilson did what he had to, to win games for a decade in Seattle. The Seahawks had more wins than losses (and significantly more in many years) in every year but one that he played with this team.

Agree to disagree.... My memory, faulty as it can be, is that RCWs stats were pretty good (personally) in most games we won and lost. I remember him driving the field in the 4th Q winning some games as well as driving the field (padding his stats) late in games that were lost, sometimes because if an INT or sack. I certainly don't recall him accepting responsibility for a loss afterward while in Seattle.

Obviously, no one's saying RCW wasn't part of winning games. He was, is, and will be. But has his evolution as a player and leader resulted in his personal responsibility leading to more losses? I think yes, but I'm content that many disagree with me. I'm simply saying that RCW teams often lose because of him but have a similar potential to win without him.

Either 1)the forces of the universe conspired against him last season and there was no possibility for a great QB to succeed in Denver regardless of all else and simultaneously those same forces handed his perennial back-up unrecognized and unidentified advantages resulting in playoffs following his first season starting
Or
2)RCW had less responsibility, personally, for Seahawk's winning (more wins than losses, as pointed out above) than he, and Seahawk-nation, assumed-accepted-promoted.

To me, hindsight is 20/20, but to each their own. No hard feelings...just spelling out my thoughts....
