Rather than having a 350 lb Nose Tackle with two 295-305 lb DEs in a 3-4, why not mix it up.

Kancey at the nose, and two 350 lb wrecking balls. Then two OLBs, and upgrade the LBs. Let Kancey blow up the Center and shoot either A gap. QBs don’t want quick pressure in their face. Having two “Vince Wolforks” in the 4i could make it work. Rotate some LB, corner or safety blitzes. Keep it fresh and freaky!

Runwise the defense could be daring teams to run up the gut, but bigger and better off ball linebackers could mitigate the risk.

Things could get interesting!
Or, some plays we go one big nose with two smaller DE, on other plays, we go two huge DE with one smaller nose like you said?

I think forcing the offense to change what they want to do would pay dividends. Last couple of years, teams punished the Hawks D.

Calijah Kancey set an NFL combine record in the 40 for a DT running 4.67 (Aaron Donald ran 4.68). He also measured 6-1, 281 lbs. with 30 5/8" arms (Aaron Donald 32 5/8" arms). Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports is mocking him to Seattle at pick 5 (not 20). He has Jalen Carter falling to Pittsburgh at 17.

On a side note Adetomiwa Adebawore (Edge) ran a 4.49 at 6-2 282 and Lukas Van Ness ran a 4.58 at 6-5 272.

I don't think it's a great idea to compare him to probably the best 3-tech of all time in terms of what we can expect - I think a rotational (not necessarily 1st choice on mixed downs) 3-tech and 1st choice on passing downs is probably more reasonable. Do we have any confirmed measureables for him? Donald has decently long arms (32 5/8") for his height and incredible strength for his size (35 reps) along with his athleticism (4.68 40-yd dash is elite for a DT). Any idea on how Kancey will measure/test? I also wonder how he would fit into Seattle's scheme if the stick with more 3-4/Bear fronts - Poona hasn't done great in that front.
Whelp the measurements are in and his arms are only 30 5/8". It makes a difference - he's not Aaron Donald.

P & J have been known to waive their physical requirements for the right guy. A few years ago they re-emphasized the old "he's a football player" mentality IIRC.

Van Ness's stock may go up a bit?

True, but there's Calijah did alright as a football player though.

Pete and John seem to like speed and power.

Van Ness at #5 and Kancey at #20.

I like Kancey but the Seahawks need a Siaki Ika or Mazi Smith type of player at nose tackle more. Someone who can take on double teams and free up the LBs.
Either Ika or Tuiolemotu in the second round. Bresee would be nice at 20. Wouldn’t mind Tyree Wilson and Bresee in round 1. Be cool if Trenton Simpson was available earlier round 2. Get Zay Flowers and Simpson round 2

difference I have seen watching Kancey highlights compared to almost everybody else I have seen. He looks like he is playing at a different speed. Who cares about underwear Olympics stopwatch speed, on the field he is FAST.

These other guys who are runnigng incredibly fast 40s, that speed isn't seen on the field.

Mone? Our Mone is bigger than Ika. With a Kancey type next to him, all Mone had to do is to occupy the space and hopefully requires double teaming which may be too much to ask for?
