Yeah I just saw some tape on Kancey I hope he’s still there in the second round he’s a freak
Yeah, I'm going to be pissed when someone else drafts him. I think I've developed a bit of a man crush. It's going to suck if he ends up playing for the Rams or the 49ers.

Agree. I've seen a couple of mocks with him going at 10, which might be close.
Yeah , that sucks. Unless they trade back a few spots and gain a pick or 2 and take him there. I'm in total agreement, he's going to be a good pro. IMHO

I don't think the 49ers or the Rams have the draft capital to move up to grab him (he'll likely go in the first round), so fairly safe he won't be going to either of those two teams.

True, and I seriously doubt the Cards will take him at 3. Although if they did, that would increase the odds that Jalen Carter is there at 5.

To me, this is a more interesting question. I would think that Carolina would be very interested in trading from 9 to 5 for a quarterback. Now the question becomes is Kancey plus the draft capital gained from trading back worth not drafting one of the top edge players (Anderson/Wilson/Murphy)? I'm obviously assuming Jalen Carter is not there at 5.

Interesting point. I obviously don't have the answer but as a fan , I'd rather have him on the line and ( assuming Seattle doesn't take a rusher in this draft) and roll with Nwosu and Taylor and Mafe . Maybe they can take care of the middle LB situation
And DT .

I can't wait to see what Schneider does.

Now that would totally SUCK to face him twice a year on the 49ers or Rams! Jags, Ravens, Bucs, Fins, can you save us from that if we don't get him? Watch the Patriots find a way to snag him...

Kancey is one of those high effort players who are really easy to root for. Really good motor and production and seemingly in the backfield on every play. PFF's mock today has him going to the Seahawks at #20.

My guess is that he's going to fall a bit after the combine official measurements, but his testing will be super important. Aaron Donald had 35 reps at 285 lbs which was in the 91st percentile and a 10 yard split in the 99th percentile.

Kancey is going to need a similar spider chart if he's going to allay concerns about his size which will end up significantly smaller.

I saw that as well. I would be on board with this. Kancey and some extra draft capital in the second. He also has us taking the center Schmitz out of MN with the 20th. I'd be happy as a pig in poop with that first round.

Rather than having a 350 lb Nose Tackle with two 295-305 lb DEs in a 3-4, why not mix it up.

Kancey at the nose, and two 350 lb wrecking balls. Then two OLBs, and upgrade the LBs. Let Kancey blow up the Center and shoot either A gap. QBs don’t want quick pressure in their face. Having two “Vince Wolforks” in the 4i could make it work. Rotate some LB, corner or safety blitzes. Keep it fresh and freaky!

Runwise the defense could be daring teams to run up the gut, but bigger and better off ball linebackers could mitigate the risk.

Things could get interesting!
