Trey was drafted largely because of his rushing ability, but even before the ankle he proved too slow for an outside runner. Moving him inside got him injured.

That's not even close to what Gould was saying.

49ers game plan was to slow rush him and for him to play from the pocket. IE, they weren't going to let him escape and either run or throw on the run. The point was that they didn't think he was great playing QB FROM THE POCKET.

It was working.

Aiyuk was responding to what they saw on film and was essentially stating he thinks KC will exploit what they saw.

Whats clear is that they were VERY confident in the game plan going in and they never got to see it.

The reason this is getting so much attention tho is that EVERYONE saw that at the very least the game was an oddity for what happened at QB and they are asked about it over and over and over again.


As for tipping the cap....Eagles O-Line and D-Line are ridiculous. They very well have won anyway. I'd just have liked to have seen THAT game, not the kicking the wounded puppy game "domination".
