Anthony Walker Jr. I would like the Hawks to bring him in. He's pretty good in run defense is really good in coverage. He's coming off an injury and should be cheaper than most top-end LBs. With him you'll probably get a cheap 1-2 year contract with the high chance he'll have good to high-end production.

Depending on what we do in the draft but another name I like is Andrew Billings. He's a DT from the Raiders. He's ascending and at a good age. I think he can be the Nwosu version at DT.

We do not have significant cap space.

As such, we need to look for bang for your buck signings like Andrew Billings or Armon Watts. Maybe stretch the money a little with Khalen Saunders as our replacements for Al Woods.

ILB is a lot more complicated this offseason.

That’s why I’m baffled people act like moving in from geno is stupid. Even if you think they should resign him at 30 the other side of the debate is at least valid. I’m biased because it’s the side I hold but still lol.

They have 26 guys under roster for next year, not much cap and a lot of holes to fill that one draft can’t solve why pay geno 30 if that’s the case? Continue to rebuild, get a rookie QB contract and do what Cincinnati, San Fran and Philly are doing right now

We can't go crazy in free agency but neither can most other teams. We're actually in a much better spot than many, particularly compared to our key rivals. Note that the Eagles are in deceptively poor shape because practically their entire defense is hitting free agency and therefore not included in 2023 cap numbers.



There could be some decent FA values to be had. It's probably also a good opportunity to sign extensions at reasonable rates (brooks, nwosu, harris).

I really hope we don't break the bank for Neal. Imo I think Moving Adams to a LB role, and Keeping Neal in his place would be a solid move... as long as Jamal can adjust and I think he can.

I certainly think he can adjust, but I don't think his body would hold up to a more physical role.

I prefer rookie deals myself. When it comes to free agents, I prefer retaining players already on the roster (based upon merit of course). I'm just a big proponent of continuity. I think it is an underrated aspect of team building. Which leads into my preferred symbiotic cycle. Retain a lot of players on rookie deals and resign the ones that have earned a second contract. You don't necessarily have to draft them all either. The league has 31 other practice squads to sort through. Do this habitually and you keep the cap very manageable. It puts the onus on your player evaluation department to get the job done. There are always exceptions to every rule of course. Just limit yourself to a couple positions of glaring need per year. Bringing in free agents from outside of the organization should be thought of as addressing an emergency situation. Like Seattle's current run defense.

I think there's an opportunity for comp picks this year. Additionally, I think there's a reasonable chance JS trades back and takes a '24 pick in exchange.

I believe PC/JS run the organization more effectively knowing they have more relative draft capital in the following draft. If a cheap DT or ILB can be signed for cheap ... well... no one's going to complain. But remember, there's a potential 3rd round pick, or multiple picks, as opportunity cost....

I'd be more excited to see multiple, lower cost, less "splashy" signings in May, when they don't count against comp pick calculation. Save some cap space, re-sign our own and add future draft capital.
