Outside of his errant decision on the pick to Metcalf, he was fine. It's hard to avoid Lucas getting thrown into his lap in 2 seconds or less from the right.

My criticism would be moreso towards not giving Lucas any help as he continued to get demolished by Mad Maxx.

We didn't have a lot of long scoring drives today. Most of our scoring came on a short field.

Defense gives up 40 points at home, don’t remotely stop the raiders all game besides a couple brain farts on their own doing, and Geno is the issue? This is arguably the worst defense is football, 34 points at home should be an easy W. A full roster churn on that side of the ball with serious injection of draft talent is needed next year. Darrell Taylor is the most disappointing guy on this team.

People treat the idea of being "clutch" like its some sort of mystical power that affects things outside of the players control. It's not.

If he was out there throwing ducks/interceptions, sure. But he can't will Lucas to block with his "clutchness." He can't will the defense to not give up 90 yard runs with his "clutchness."

The game wasn’t televised in my area so I am going off of the final score. I believe in you win as a team and you lose as a team but if your opponent scores 40 points it’s not on the QB

He had very good individual stats too, with absolutely nothing in the rushing game to lean on.

I don't think replacing Geno really elevates the team in the short-to-mid term.

Like i said before Geno has some things to prove. Can he make that game winning drive? Not so far. Doesnt mean he wont but knowing the Hawks have the draft capital to get that franchise qb, got to play better than that.
Geno did make some mistakes but he was not the problem today. When he had even a little time he was his normal accurate self. He can lead a game winning drive if he doesn't have Crosby in his face in 2 seconds. I'm probably in the minority but I think we are set at quarterback for a while. DL and LB are the biggest needs.

I agree Geno was not one of the big problems today, overall he played well.

But the thread is about whether he was "clutch".

I think Geno is now 0/7 on game winning drive opportunities with the Seahawks.

I suppose an analyst could review all the tries and point out they weren't Geno's fault because of.this, that, and the other thing.

Bottom line, 0/7 reinforces the "not clutch" argument.
