If GenoMagic remains the course for the rest of the season, IF the Seahawks would decide to forgo selecting a top QB with in the first round of the draft, what position would you like them to address with the first pick?

I normally skip these types of posts, in part because I'm a BPA type of guy and don't like to limit the choice by some positional need.

But I'd say DT first, as our depth in the D-interior is a bit long in the tooth now. Would love to get some big, young hole plugger and LB protector in the middle. So, technically a NT type rather than a slasher.

I say DT first, then DE and then a guard.

Anyway you slice it trench upgrades are needed to be able to compete long term.

I would love a game wrecking DT, but is there one coming out worthy of a top 10 pick?

DE, then DT then a stud Guard.

Gotta be this.

One of the biggest drop offs in elite talent in the 1st two rounds are these two position groups. So if you need one and have a top 10 pick? You better damn well draft the DE or DT.

I'd make an exception for Will Anderson, the LB/edge from Alabama. He's a generational talent like Micah Parsons.

With this much draft capital it absolutely should depend on the talent available. Let's say we have the #5 pick and it goes Stroud, Young, Carter, Fashanu. Would you really want the next DT in Bryan Bresee if Quentin Johnson or Will Anderson were still on the board?

RB Bijan Robinson is the pick to make. DL/pass rushers are a dime a dozen

I put DE but DT if its a monster would be a super close second. Not with the first pick in the 1st but anytime after that if there was a surefire center I'd be good with that as well.

D Tackle.

Specifically, Jalen Carter from Georgia
What's the difference between

Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis or Travon Walker or Devonte Wyatt?

CFB Prospects are way different, because these teams like Georgia, or Alabama are playing with elite rosters.

I also believe DT would be the best choice.

Jamal or Neal excels in rushing the QB middle of the lane.

I voted DE like most. We need a premier edge rusher. What I'm super excited is that early second round pick. I think we can get one of the best centers in the draft with an early 2nd round pick.

Good RBs are hard to find. RB is a premium position. If Kenneth Walker gets injured the season is LOST. Bijan Robinson is THE pick to make.

Hmmmm Cliff Avril was a 3rd rounder, Mebane was a 3rd rounder and Michael Bennett was an undrafted free agent.

But I agree I want to see DT and DE invested in first.

Like Brock Huard said, "Top 10 pick should be the biggest, strongest, baddest defensive lineman. I don’t care if he’s an end or a tackle, you get me just a game-changer physically and an impact-maker that can move another human being.”

I want a game changer on the DL as our first pick. After that, perhaps a OL or S, then a RB and WR.

From what I've read on his draft profile, and watching tape, he's sort of like Aaron Donald. Very disruptive and explosive.
