Oh The Humanity! A Seahawk Tragedy!

I was sitting and thinking, "What are some of the worst Seahawk Football tragedies"? Now by this I pretty much mean on field/contract tragedies. Not someone getting hit by a train or eaten by a whale, etc.

First, what are your Seahawk tragedies?

And second, other than XL, the first thing that came to mind for me was closely related. Does anyone remember this (in the attached pic)?:

I'd say the knee injuries that shortened Curt Warner's career and the rift between K. Easley (still my favorite Hawk) and the team when it was discovered he had kidney disease when they tried to trade him for... drum roll.... Kelly Stouffer. Beyond tragedy.

Naw, the call was fine, especially given the time-and-timeouts-remaining situation. The personnel was wrong for that play, however, and the throw was awful. I'll stick with the way I expressed it.

Respectfully disagree my friend. Band-aid ripped off again.

Lynch had just successfully run the ball, and even though NE had gone to their heavy interior personnel it was worth running the ball again. This was a blown opportunity.

RW never threw the ball well to any WR or TE close to the goal line or frankly at all.. In that situation at least with two TOs or one to burn the situation was clear. YOU RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!

It was a freaking galactically stupid play call! Worse still Bevell refused to accept any responsibility for it.

Still PO’d about that call and Bevell blaming the WR and RW’s shrug. It was a huge mistake!

Lynch would have carried the whole NE-D into the endzone. JMO.

Not sure of the OP's reasoning for this thread.

I choose to focus on the present and the future of the Hawks... not the past, and especially not the past team "tragedies".

Somewhere, probably here, I read an analysis of that play that showed defenders strangely out of position on that play, and that it was indicative of the Cowboys scheming up a big hit on Lockette because they didn't like him. I've always wondered if there was any truth to that.

Not giving the ball to Lynch is and alway will be the biggest tragedy…at least in my lifetime. We can go back and forth all day about previous runs, NEs D, etc. But I’m beyond confident that a guy who was nicknamed BeastMode would’ve got that score.

Kams injury…that devastated me. He defined the position in my eyes. He’s still my favorite Hawk of all time.
