Just wanted to remind everyone that NFL refs don't even know the names of the teams.
For those that don't know what this thread is about:
people misspeak. it isn't a biggie

Ref calls penalty on ‘Mariners’ during Seahawks game, and internet catches fire with fun
After a nice 14-yard scramble by Geno Smith to pick up a first down, a sideline-interference penalty was called on the coaching staff of the Seattle Seahawks. Or it should've been.www.seattletimes.com
No the creation of "mis spoke" was created by Hillary Clinton when she was caught out on a down right lie of being under fired on the tarmac.people misspeak. it isn't a biggie
No politics here but I have actually made that mistake. It was a long night...No the creation of "mis spoke" was created by Hillary Clinton when she was caught out on a down right lie of being under fired on the tarmac.
So mis spoke is a statement to cover for a lie.
Did he have a mind fart?
Absolutely we all do like calling your current wife by your former wife's name. Lol
Not politics at all explaining where the words mis spoke come from. Nothing more. Facts are not politicsNo politics here but I have actually made that mistake. It was a long night...
That's not where the words 'misspoke' comes from (you can easily look up the etymology online and it's been around since well before she--or anyone of us--was born), so it's not a fact and it seems unnecessary to bring up in this thread...?Not politics at all explaining where the words mis spoke come from. Nothing more. Facts are not politics
That's a good question though in this case I'm glad it applied after the play was over. We got the first down which was more important than the yards at that point. What I didn't get is that the penalty was applied "after the play was over". I thought you could only interfere during the play?
