It’s silly to argue over things like this.

It's not silly when it's fundamentally different and it's completely relevant to the topic. MRI != x-ray, it is functionally distinct and looking at different things - which matters in this context.

All NFL stadiums have xray equipment. None that I know of have MRI capability.

Wait...you think an MRI is the same as an X-ray?

Idk wtf you're on about, or what your confused about.

DK didn't have an MRI, which is the important x-ray to show the extend of ligament damage if there is any.

The End. Maybe PM me if you'd like to continue to argue about x-rays.

Dude...

You are absolutely missing the point. Read PMed's post. You have implied and are implying that MRIs are a form of x-ray. They are not. They are both forms of internal imaging, they do not use the same type of technique, and furthermore they are used to diagnose different injuries.

The MRI is the important x-ray, all the regular x-ray shows is any breaks, dislocations, etc.

The MRI today will show the extent of something serious like ACL/MCL injuries.

MRI is not the "important x-ray" as it is not an X-ray.

There is not such thing as a non- "regular x-ray"... It's an X-ray or it's not.

You are clearly confused and muddying the waters on the subject.

Yeah, definitely not the sort of thing that can even be possible in an NFL facility. Requires a specially built facility, a ton of energy, and ultra cold liquids to cool the superconductors. It's the sort of thing that costs so much money just to stay prepped and ready to fire that it needs to be in fairly continuous use in order to make financial sense for a medical facility.

It's possible that a portable sonogram could see a tear but the picture on those is pretty bad and they seem to have been mostly abandoned in sports medicine.

Yeah, I imagine sound has too long of a wavelength for any real resolution.

Ultrasound can actually still be very useful as it's non ionising and mri scanners can be expensive and claustrophobic.

I understand. All the various scanning systems have their uses. I was actually in one of the newer MRI machines at the Puget Sound VA hospital that was quite a bit more open. Much improved from the old water pipe feeling of the earlier MRI equipment. They're getting better.

DK is one of my favorite players on the team. I want him to do better. If I noticed something, I'm going to point it out. He's had some easy drops this season. Catches he has made in the past.
Which ones were these?

Agreed. The newer 3T scanners have much bigger bores and are more powerful. I was in our Skyra 3T scanner and it's so powerful it can make your muscles twitch. It's like being sexually assualted by Magneto.
