Part of the job of being a running back is to be "like a boxer delivering hits to the body". It takes the wind out of the defense and makes them hesitate mentally as they have to respect the run. "K9" did deliver some shots to the defenders and seems to be really "tough". I will be watching for a response from Marshawn.
I would still like to bring in a "bruiser" type running back or use Nick Bellore or a tight end as a fullback more often. But, I'm impressed with DJ Dallas as well. He is a real "fireplug" type body and is also showing himself to be a very "tough" minded player.
The Ravens Fullback, #42, Patrick Ricard, was a real factor in today's game. We should protect our running back investments with some great blocking and play options!

I tried to edit my post...The tight ends acting as a fullback tonight were not that great...

He looks really good out there. Looking forward to watching him house a sneaky little pass put of the backfield (ala Beast).

Feed him.

I hope not...injury bust..not worth it
With a team friendly deal, I'd be fine with it. He's not likely to garner too much interest from other teams and rightly so with his inability to stay healthy.

His brilliant 21ish yard run felt like the tough running of beast mode or Carson, but he has the top end that neither of those so had. I think he’s going to have a terrific season. He was 3 yards shy of 100 yard game in his first start

Hes out for the Season.. he signed a one year deal.. you think theyll do it again?
I think it would be well worth it to re-sign him even during this season. He would sign for a minimum deal because he has already expressed loyalty and gratitude to the Seahawks. He would then also be allowed to re-hab at the Seahawks facilities. Much like Quandre Diggs after his injury last year.
Maybe part of his problem is self confidence. If the Seahawks "buy in again" it could be a real personal boost to him. We won't be able to find a better free agent running back any time soon. He is clearly a "special player".

I absolutely LOVED Geno's fake of the ball going over his head when the ball went to K9. I don't know if anyone bit on it, but I loved seeing his effort to sell it anyway.
Yeah, they bit on it. Watch the right side of the line (where K9 eventually brought the ball) and you can see them get turned around.

Walker has power, speed and moves. He is definitely his own back and should be respected as such. Like many have said, he just needs a little space to make a 2 yard run into an 8 yard run.

The Seahawks need to acknowledge what they have in him and get the Oline talent to feature Kenny.

Which is odd since he's only 2 inches shorter than Lynch and literally the same weight
Yep, not that I was looking :) .... but he has strength where it's best, legs/butt... I know these dudes really push their body in the weight room, but it's clear he's gifted to be a running back.

Mix of three backs? Gross! How’d that happen? Certainly test tubes were involved….
And a single strand of Christopher Reeve's Superman hair lol
