Geno is playing great ball. From some of the pieces of trash in here though, you'd assume he was throwing 30 picks a game.

I'm happy for Geno.

He's likeable. Supportable.

Purple suit more hip than silver suit with bow-tie.

Love ya Geno!

Bit we gotta let Russ go. Why compare?

He gone.

Better for us.

As for these threads on RW,

We writin' Russ, but he ain't write back.

He's playing some damn good ball. Will be a much tougher test on Sunday. I have zero problems admitting he's better than I have given him credit for. Hopefully it continues. We are 4 games in, a lot of ball to play. And a lot of tough games.

You are not alone. Most of us did not see Geno performing at this level. You can't argue with stats. He's been outstanding. Outperforming most QBs in the league to this point. Sure he could and likely will level or cool off but I am truly happy for him and for us that he is clearly in command of this offense. Obviously Pete wasn't blowing smoke. He's everything Pete said he was. I would take Geno over Russ right now and it's not even close and think about that statement.

Let Geno Cook!

I never said the guy was trash, short term answer at best, but I sure as heck wasn't thinking he could look like a long term solution (as long term as a 9 year vet can). It's still early but I hope he can keep up this pace. Thankfully the SOS isn't too high.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Hey, I just grabbed him as my backup for Herbert on my fantasy team.

I know it’s too soon but contract talks? Will Seahawks entertain it?

We compare because Russ was a douche leaving town
We compare because it further demonstrates how badly we fleeced Denver and thats relevant
We compare because the worse Russ does, the higher pick we get in the next draft
We compare because giving Russ and the Russ lovers in this forum the finger is fun :)

We compare because fans and the FO had been doing so for some time leading up to the trade, as a means of estimating the net worth of keeping Russ or trading and inserting Smith.

We continue to compare because we want to know if we got good value or not in the trade. To this point, the value is looking exceptionally good. Like "we fleeced them"--good.

it's interesting because Salk ask the question to Pete

"is Geno a better fit for Waldrens O?"

It was interesting that Geno does exactly what they ask him to do to where Russ works more from creativity. I think that is a REALLY NICE way to state it, it's true but...I think you have to add the word EGO when talking about Russ and not so much with Geno.

Top NFL Offenses by EPA/Play:

1. KC 0.202
2. MIA 0.162
3. BUF 0.142
4. SEA 0.138
5. PHI 0.120
I googled so y'all don't have to. :)

Deriving Expected Points Added (EPA) from Expected Points

On every play, a team has the potential to either increase or decrease their Expected Points. Expected Points Added is the difference between a team’s Expected Points at the end of a play and their Expected Points at the beginning of a play.

We're also the number #2 offense by DVOA on Football Outsiders right now. (You, uh, probably don't want to know where we stand defensively...)

That could change after the results of MNF, of course, but yeah.

The glass-half-full way of seeing this is that despite the defense sucking so much it's dead-last in DVOA for the season (and let's remember that the Seahawks' defense improved after terrible starts the last two seasons), the Seahawks' offense and special teams have been good enough to have the Seahawks 14th overall in DVOA.

I'm stoked by Geno's play. It should be celebrated. I'm curious for see how he does against a much better D in New Orleans. Last year it wasn't pretty.
