His attributes were very good.
I agree but I wonder if the FO have become a bit buyer beware since.

They may feel that the value difference between a 2nd round RB and a 7th doesnt warrant the extra draft capital?

Of course getting Penny in the 1st round kinda blows that theory out of the water somewhat.

It's a foregone conclusion that we'll draft a RB, and I join those that are advocating a mid to lower round selection. As our current two RB's have shown, the position is highly subject to injury, so there's no sense spending a 1st or 2nd rounder on a player that will spend most of his time in the hot tub. The other thing is that there aren't many 3 down running backs. Penny, for example, isn't that good of a receiver and is a poor pass blocker, so he'll be limited to 1st and 2nd downs. There are other, more productive positions to spend our high draft picks on.

I'm not usually a fan of an early RB, but I would not hate it at all if we took Kenneth Walker III with one of our second rounders. I think he can have a Jonathan Taylor-like impact early in his career.
Yeah, I'd like to see them go after Breece Hall, he doesn't come down with arm tackles & like Lynch, tries to run through defenders when the lanes close up....Be The Windshield Not The Bug.

Dameon Pierce out of Florida has Seahawk style written all over him. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a day 2 draft pick. Strong as hell, nasty, huge competitor.

Jerome Ford from Cincinatti. He spent two years at 'Bama before transferring. Projects as a fourth round pick. I say grab him if we can get him in the fourth.

Yeah, he would be a good option if he is still there in the 4th round. There is good depth at RB all throughout this draft.

Not at all sure about charging head first without his helmet.

They will likely acquire at least one extra pick by trading down, so taking a flyer on a mid round RB seems like a no brainer.

If they take corner and tackle with first 2 picks and then hopefully the linebacker out of Utah Devin Lloyd is still there early second. They need to address the corners and O line before running back

Seahawks have released a statement saying, that they are good at the RB position, which I DON'T buy for a second.

Yeah, now's the time of year to take everything they say with a grain of salt. Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if they grab one 3d day.

There's no way Pete and John are 100% comfortable going into a season without Russell with two RB's who missed 75% of the games last year.

I was shocked when we passed on Jonathan Taylor a couple years ago and took Jordyn Brooks. For sure if there's a Jonathan Taylor or Nick Chubb level of talent available in the 40-41 range we should snag him. I expect the Hawks to snag a couple RBs in this draft, maybe one earlier if a guy they like is there, for sure one mid/later rounder, and then of course pursue UDFAs.

Lloyd is a top-20 prospect, best off-the ball LB in the draft.
