  • A little harsh to bring up religion for Aaron Curry...he had enough shortcomings on the field aside from religion to complain about

  • I agree, judging someone by their beliefs is quite ignorant. Even if he laid eggs all day while on the team.

  • Rick Mirer: this is a guy that made a career of holding clipboards.

Pork Chop Womack: Oft injured player overated by coach.

Aaron Curry: Everybody claimed what a great athlete he was. Aby Normal Brain. This was the player to replace Julian Petersen.

Dijon Branch: Apparently couldn't play football without Brady.

Evan Moore: Nowhere near the football he is still looking for a flag.

Kelly "I need a Ridey Daddy" Jennings: We need a new stat for how far a cornerback is dragged per catch. YDAC.

Josh Portis. Wait. Really? This guy was so together community colleges rejected his application.

  • Andre Hines 2nd round pick 1980 cut before training camp was done if I remember correctly.

Owen Gill 2nd round pick 1985 was our first pick that year.

Dan McGwire 1st round pick 1991

These are all my worst since the high investment and zero return especially from Hines and Gill, McGwire should have never been drafted either let alone a 1st round selection.

  • Every player that was listed above contributed to this team more then the three I listed, Josh Portis is one that just becasue he's not starting does not mean he is not contributing and we got him for nothing really, high value in my opinion.

Now if you want to list bad people, we can start with Fenner, Kramer, hmmm I know we have had another murderer or two on the team.

  • Based on their high draft status:

    Lamar King
    Anton Palepoi
    Doug Thomas
And whoever we picked to switch places in the draft costing us both Tony Dorsett and Joe Montana.

I'm christian, it wasn't judging someone on his beliefs. It was his poor play constant social media use of religion

But it's always easier to just call somebody ignorant if you don't like their opinion

Have to blame the OP, he started it and with worst you can't ignore him as much as we would like to erase that part of our history. Especially since Knox wanted Farve that year.

MY god I hate the regurgitation of media talking points by so many about the Boz as a BUST. The Boz was not a bust. We got him in a supplemental drart. He played very well for us until injuries stopped him.

There are soooo many players who suffer season ending injuries. That does not make them a bust. actually the Boz was small for his position and his sholders gave out on him. But you are either very young or never watched his games. Go back and watch. The Boz was a good player however short his time was in the NFL.

  • I will never understand the McGwire pick. I remember thinking they were crazy for that. Knox pick?? No way. Not a first rounder.

Knox let him play one drive and in that drive the Hawks ran the ball on every play until they scored and then Knox pulled him. He was terrible.

Gelbaugh was a pick machine, Kemp right with him but Salisbury goes to the top of worst Hawks on the roster.

I will never forgive Flores for letting Krieg go for the 92 season so that Kelly Stouffer could play one series and get his face busted up. It was all downhill from there.

  • The Boz was awesome. He was one of the best LBers I've ever seen play the game. He was fast, hit hard, and shot through and smashed QB's regularly.

He had over 100 tackles and led the team in that category his first year... unfortunately it wasn't an official stat yet, so good luck finding his tackle stats. He brought more press and merchandise sales to the Seahawks than they paid the guy within the first week he was here. The majority of his contract was paid out by an insurance policy, which is standard. The insurer paid him 10 million dollars. The Seahawks deal with him was worth I believe 11 million. So they paid 1 million dollars and probably made that in Boz 44 and Boz 55 jerseys and posters in a matter of days.

Everybody wants to bring up the Bo Jackson play. Bo Jackson didn't "Run him over". Most overrated play ever. Bo shot through the whole, into Boz's gap. Bo cuts to his left and glances off of Boz shoulder and scores a TD while running at full speed and hitting a guy that was moving across. Big deal, it happens 25 times a game when players run.

I am sick and tired of people talking about what a bust the guy was. Was Steve Emtman a bust because he blew out both of his knees? I don't think so. In fact, he was one of the greatest athletes to ever play football and looked absolutely dominant before injuries ruined his career.

Calling Boz one of the WORST players in the history of a franchise is a joke. Did you watch him cross the entire field and smash the shiznit out of Mr. Elway who was doing his best to get out of bounds? I did, and it was freaking beautiful. He was the toughest mother to line up for the Hawks since Ken Easley did it with no kidneys.

The Boz was in so much pain in his second year that the team trainers had to dress him after essentially taping his damned arms on. Then after his second season he didn't beg out. No doctor would clear him and after specialist and specialist looked at him they all told him his shoulders were destroyed and he would never play again... do you know what that suckwad Brian Bosworth did? He showed up for the first day of training camp and got those same trainers to tape him up and get him out on the field to practice just like he did everyday. He didn't quit. The team's doctors refused to clear him. He gave it everything he had. He begged to play. He was a great man who made t-shirts that made fun of him and sold them at opposing team's stadiums, and then donated the proceeds to children's charities. What a "loser" and what an "awful player".

If you didn't watch the man play, and you didn't see him unable to even lift his arms up, yet still making tackles and flying around the field and leading his team as a young kid and still respecting his teammates, his elders, the game, standing up for his union, etc. then you don't know of what you speak. I feel privileged to have watched him play when he did and saw how great he was. I am surprised there aren't Bears fans saying Gale Sayers sucked because he only played for a few years. I think Sandy Koufax sucked too, because he only pitched for like 7 seasons.

Injuries do NOT equal a bad player. In fact, many times they can define just how great a man is when he overcomes those injuries and still excels and even dominates at times. Boz was one of those guys. If he had played for the Giants or Cowboys they'd still be talking about how great he was and how his career just got cut short. Instead they talk about him like he was Ryan Leaf. Sorry, but the Boz was a great player.

  • Ken Behring. He did everything he could to get fans to NOT go to games so that he could move the team to Los Angeles. It almost worked too. He just made the team SOOOO BAD that Los Angeles didn't want them.

Tom Flores. When he was brought in, it just felt dirty because he was a long tenured coach of the HATED Raiders. First, he was GM and ran a much better coach out of town. Then, he half assed his way through three pathetic seasons as the coach and never seemed to give a damn.

Tarvaris Jackson. The worst kind of QB. Not bad enough to get the team the first overall pick and not good enough to give fans any hope whatsoever.

  • He did play great. But that Fumble rec was right there for him against the Cowboys. That INT was a tipped pass against the Bears. Thinking back on who we use to have and lil depth there was is cray cray. Trufant was our number 1 CB. On this team he's our 3rd and thats only because WT3 isn't playing. Just sayin.

  • We paid a buttload of money to Willie Williams to come here and be short in a Seahawks uniform instead of a Steelers uniform. On the subject of bad cornerbacks, Fred Thomas deserves a mention.

A guy who wasn't a bad player but never justified his draft pick and hasn't been mentioned is Kevin Glover.

Chad Eaton was pretty bad. Probably not the worst player on that horrid run defense (I've probably suppressed some of the worse players from my memory), but the way he ran his mouth without ever backing it up was absurd.

  • Ronnie Harris. Thanks for fumbling all those punts away, jackass.

Glenn Foley and Gino Toretta come to mind as QBs who had no business on an NFL roster.

  • Aaron Curry was pretty bad. As I recall he had one of the very worst negative scores from PFF during his rookie season. In the league. He wasn't just a bust, he was actually hurting our defense. Plus he generally wasn't very smart and mouthed off at the end for good measure. I hated that pick before it happened, but me being pessimistic (especially back then) predicted it would happen, and was deeply upset when my prediction was right. I honeymooned as a Cardinals fan for a few weeks, and upon returning to Hawks fandom months before the season started I headed up the Fire Tim Ruskell bandwagon. Enough was enough. When Aaron Curry was dealt, I didn't really celebrate so much as feel relief- that a short yet awful chapter in Seahawks history was finally over.

Two more names worth mentioning: Tom Ashworth and Brian Russell.

Sean Locklear and Kelly Jennings were pretty horrible for a while as well. And I'll never forget 2009 Hasselbeck, especially against Tampa Bay. His "Hassletoss" play will live on forever with me.

Didn't want that post to go without at least one "hell yeah".

You're a little over excited though. He was a good player, but I don't think he ever was or would have been a great linebacker.

But it is true that injuries don't make a player a 'bust'.

I remember the Curry draft, I was one of the stupid ones who didn't like the pick. Lots of us dummies were almost banned for going against that grain.

There's a lot of names on here that don't belong. Stouffer's one that DOES belong.

Now you're talking! His on-field ineptness wasn't enough either. He held out once, then I believe that same year, got popped for roids. I also remember one game he had a few negative punts, like 2 or 3 in a game.
