Question about the HOF

If you've amassed enough accolades in your career to be deemed HOF worthy, but during your NFL tenure had a PED suspension do you get in?

Lawrence Taylor is in isn't he?

NFL Hall of Fame isn't like Baseball's. There's no clause for off field activity. Of course there is always the possibility that the guys with the ballots could hold it against him, but he wouldn't be kept out by rule

If Michael Irvin can get in, anyone can.

Understood about Irvin and LT but I am talking about you got busted taking something that enhances your performance on the field. Not recreational stuff like pot or coke but roids.

I don't think roids will affect Brian Bosworth's chances at making it in.

You cant have the same cloud over your career and still have a HOF career in the NFL. If you had a great say..5 years.. then started to use PEDs to keep your edge..and you got caught.. and then again.. you would be out of the league soon. Its not like 90s baseball where you can be on the Juice your whole career and then later have it brought up.

BUT this could apply to players from the 1970s and early 80s.. and since they never did get tested its all suppossition and not part of their legacy and so those players are in.

NFL HOF doesn't really care that much. It would need to be a guy who got busted enough times to warrant a season long ban.
