Nothing says give this guy more power over the franchise like a 43-8 loss in the Super Bowl, does it?

I used to live in Denver. The guy would be named King of Colorado if it were actually feasible.

I believe that simply based on the way their fans slobbered over Manning.

He walks on trough water in Colorado, clearly, he can do no wrong.

For a stable of horse puns, go to KSK here: John Elway is officially GM

Well that sure wasn't the smartest move in the world.
What are you talking about? He won executive of the year for pursuing the bold and oft-berated-by-everybody decision to sign Peyton Manning. He's a genius!

He got us to the super bowl didn't he? Why do NFL fans treat the loser of the SB worse than the crappy teams that never even had a shot.

Technically, a really weak AFC got you to the Super Bowl.

While I dislike Monsieur Horseface, this is no surprise.

In the 5 seasons before Elway took a role in the FO:

2010: 4-12
2009: 8-8
2008: 8-8
2007: 7-9
2006: 9-7

In the 3 seasons since he took a role:

2011: 8-8
2012: 13-3
2013: 13-3

Now, me, I think you can pretty much trace that directly to bringing Manning in. Manning is going to give you a great regular season record... no way around that. But to an organization and fanbase that already holds Elway in Messiah-like esteem, those records are all the argument you need to give him the extension/title.

This sentiment has ZERO to do with the SB, and more a mocking of the guy who won executive of the year for throwing 90 million at Manning so he could get rid of Teblow.

Elway was the Pseudo GM even when he played, it was Elway's him or me bitching that got Dan Reeves fired back in the day.

Really, my only complaint against him is that he picked and continues to keep Fox.

SB would've been different with a healthy Von Miller--we would've only won by three scores.

What difference does it make? We all know Peyton and Horseface are the actual coaches anyway.

So what you're saying is that the best Elway could do without guaranteed Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning is 8-8? Sorry, but saying the guy's a genius for getting rid of Tebow (no longer in the league) and replacing him with Manning (sure-fire Hall of Fame) is complete bunk. Even the Cleveland Browns organization would have done that.
