Both OL and DL's are not nearly as good as last year and for this main reason we have fallen off. Okung is a shell of former self, third string center with Jean Pierre on IR, Breno gone. DL, no McDonald for inside pass rush, no Red for clogging the outside and no Clemons for QB rotational pressure.

All the other stuff is almost fluff. The skill position players we have are fine and even guys like Burley are doing ok but if you don't give time for Russ to set up and pass and if you don't stop the run or get pressure on the QB you are going to have problems. Unfortunately the replacements for the players we lost at these positions are well... Just not as good as what we had had . Not sure what can be done at this point but I think these are the reasons for the lackluster play in our losses.

Is the offensive line refusing to give Marshawn Lynch the ball?

16 carries for 97 yards in our team's two losses.

Read that again.

And again.

One more time.

27 carries over his past two games.

Murray had 29 yesterday.

On offense, it's all about Bevell and his horrendously inept play calling.

But all the cool kids love to scapegoat the offensive line.

All about Bevell huh? The O-line has NOTHING to do with it, huh?

I honestly think that was the best I've seen the O-Line play as a collective unit in just about forever. Aside from Okung causing penalties it functioned really well, and I remember Wilson having SEVERAL dropbacks of 5+ seconds.
D-Line weren't great, but then again, Dallas O-line aren't half bad.

Where did I say the offensive line was blameless?

Bevell is the architect of our offense and he has failed. 2-8 record in games where Lynch gets 10 or less carries. He has had his number called by Bevell 17 times in our two losses and has averaged over 6 YPC. So tell me what the real problem is here? Is it any wonder that Lynch's agent is tweeting to the Seahawks and reminding them that they have a pretty good running back on their roster?

20 carries, 110 yards, 2 TDs and we hang 36 on the now 4-2 Packers in the season opener.

Where has that gone, and more importantly, WHY has that gone away?

The offensive line has to play better, but it's rumored that Okung is playing with a torn labrum, our starting Center is hurt, we have a rookie at right tackle and we're also missing our starting tight end. If you want to scapegoat the offensive line, be my guest. But I see a complete transformation on offense that takes us MILES away from what we were last year, and that was by far and away the best team in the NFL.

I want to know why.
