The abandonment may be old news, but the judegement is not.

And there are two sides to every story.

So that makes it ok?

Yes, because that is what we all said. Since we have already spoken of it that it makes it all okay.

I heard the dog abandoned Michael. :sarcasm_off:

I would abandon every dog in the world if that's what had to happen to have Michael Bennett on this team.

Just imagine how much his play would have suffered during our SB run if he was still caring for that dog and worrying if his wife/children were able to care for it while he was away! He obviously would not have made the same impact so I, for one, am glad he cut ties with the aforementioned canine nuisance.

The funny thing about this story is how everyone is up in arms over leaving the dog at a professional boarding facility, as if he had left it chained to a tree in the woods or something. The entire issue is one of money. He didn't pay the facility for the services rendered. If he just didn't want the dog he could have paid next to nothing, had it put to sleep and nobody would have said jack about it. Was he wrong to leave the boarding facility hanging like that? Absolutely, and the judge made the proper decision in awarding the boarding facility what they are due plus interest.

This is a big bunch who-doo really. He left the dog at a professional boarding facility. Congrats to the boarding facility for recognizing a "target of opportunity", making big stink blowing the whole deal out of proportion and collecting a HUGE payday.

Exactly, he didn't drive out to the middle of nowhere and dump it.

It's a pretty nice place, actually called a dog resort. Dog was well cared for.

I do find it weird he never went back, or made arrangements for it to be adopted... but overall, the puppy was just fine.

So if you just leave your child at a crèche one day and never go back for it, it's ok because they specialise in looking after kids?

Oh yeah I forgot. It's only a dog. Who cares that it probably sat there confused about why his owners had left it in an unusual place. Not to mention the kennels - I'm sure it's standard practise to expect they'll keep paying the bills and re-home your pet, without any notice or prior warning.

Nobody should be trying to justify this. It's a jackass move. Doesn't mean we have to dislike MB or not want him on the roster. But there's also no need to cover his ass.
