Is there anyone NOT on the bandwagon?

I'm hoping this thread doesn't devolve into bullcrappedness.

I pose a serious question: Who out there still thinks we are not ready for "prime time"? There is no shame in it..but I'm curious as to what is holding you back.

FYI, by prime time I mean (a) winning the division and (b) being a serious Super Bowl contender. Of course, getting HFA would be nice too but I think we can get there without it.

Wondering what the pulse of .Net is as we sit 100 days from the start of the regular season.

For my two cents, the only thing I worry about is injuries...but I like the depth we have. I'm hoping Harvin makes our offense scary in year #2 of the AWE (Amazing Wilson Era) and I'm hoping the additions of Avril, Bennett and Winfield and having Quinn as our DC pushes the defense into elite status (elite defenses are able to close out games like Detroit, Miami and Atlanta last season...so until i see that, I'm not putting that label on).

Where are you at?

there is a lot of people who still don't believe in Wilsonism. People out there still believe Luck is a better QB :179417:

My biggest concern is the team reading their press clippings too much and buying into their own hype. If they stay hungry and don't buy into all that - they will be fine.

We are ready.

Question is, what obstacles must we conquer to finally get the prize?

We were injury lucky last year, and that is a key for me, especially on O and D-lines.

I am as optimistic about the upcoming season more than any other-getting my hopes up, big time. And I know this is the group of fans who know how scary and exciting that is.

Lol...I think a lot of us understand that sentiment.

One of the great things about Wilsons work ethic is that it's contagious to players on both sides of the ball.

The receivers and line will be prepared.

The defense won't want to get shown up in practices and training camp.

Be injury free and win the divison because even one home game with the extra week off would change everything because we are as good as San Francisco and that is good enough to win one road game on the way the Superbowl. Winning two road games back to back is a bit much to ask ANY team.

Good point, and with a full off-season as "the guy" those roots will be deeper.

I'm very excited about Wilson's development and improvement in year #2.

Our defense is elite. Gus Bradley running some crappy soft zone at the end of the aforementioned games is what gave us at least two of those losses in the closing seconds.

I'll meet you halfway...elite talent? Yes. But it didn't perform at the elite level, largely because of Bradley. Regardless of circumstance or excuses, you can't wear the "elite" label when you let teams drive all the way down the field to beat you at the end of games...especially a team without a running game (Detroit) or a team with a luke warm rookie QB (Miami).

Once? It happens. Twice?? Not good. Thrice??? "Houston, we have a problem".

I wanted to see more of a course correction from Pete last season. It was HIS Defense, not Bradley's. Herein lies my hope that Quinn will be more aggressive, at least to the extent we don't see that infuriating and ineffective soft zone garbage.

As strange as it sounds, until I see our DL and our WLB in action, it remains the biggest barrier to me. Seattle absolutely has to fulfill the need for QB pressure using only 4 down linemen.

Agreed. I can't think of anything more critical than a consistent pass rush.

Holding out hope that Clemons is miraculously ready to go once the season starts, so we don't play without him AND Irvin (at least the first 4 games for Bruce).

This for me as well. Wouldn't surprise me if the Defense takes a step backwards.

Them's some serious hopes, I think. Clem will likely miss 6 games on PUP, at least.

I imagine so, yes. But I've heard the buzz that he is ahead of schedule...so who knows.

There are going to be more eyes on Richard Sherman this season, including officials. Not saying our players are dirty, but they are physical which could lead to more penalty flags if/when the officials are paying more attention.
