Most efficient QB in the league without a Larry Fitzgerald type to carry him. He really should be MVP. But the Panthers won 15 games, so it will likely go to Newton. Just silly.

To be fair, who does Cam have on offense?

very good oline and better run game than Seattle.

Cothcery 522 career receptions 33 td's

Ginn 502 receptions 21 td's

Olsen 540 receptions 49 td's

Russell puts up the same numbers as Cam did every year and better numbers this year. Not considered MVP because of run game and D.

Cam does it with great D and run game, great TE and Ginn and Cotchery and 'Cam puts the team on his back.'

Not sure how putting up career stats is helpful for the 2015 MVP debate...

I'd also debate that their run game is better TBH. If Rawls/Lynch were still healthy would you still say that? I'm not saying that Wilson doesn't deserve a nod, just trying to not be a homer about it is all.

Exactly, Rawls/Lynch aren't healthy. Career numbers indicate they aren't chopped liver like you were suggesting and have been producing a long time.

Olsen is their only real weapon. Career numbers aren't relevant for this discussion.

That's fair. But then, who are Russell Wilson's weapons? Where was the MVP praise when Wilson lead his team to two straight 1st seeds at 13-3 and 12-4? Oh, right... the defense and running game carried the team. Cam on the other hand? All him.

I'm not against Cam being the MVP. I'm pissed that Wilson did the same, arguably better, in the past 2 years and was overlooked. It's stupid.

Cam had a great year and made key plays when his team needed them. Including against us. Well deserved MVP. I'll grant him the MVP trophy. I won't grant him a Lombardi trophy. See that Lombardi? "That's Russell Wilson's trophy."

On paper we do have better weapons. Lockett and Baldwin are producing better than their #1 and #2 receivers. Even Kearse has been more productive. Again, I'm just trying to be objective about it even though I agree that Wilson should have been in the discussion for it.

Anybody know the numbers for 4th quarter comeback victories this year, for MVP-candidate-level QBs?
Palmer, Newton, Brady, and of course, our own Russell Wilson, and any I failed to mention. Rodgers is not in the conversation this year...

I think his point was, that Cotchery, Ginn, and Olsen aren't nobodies that Cam has had at his disposal, and that props up his numbers, to the point of MVP.
Russell Wilson puts up just over 4,000 Yards Passing + another 500 Yards rushing, and has a pretty sensational Season with Receivers that have way less sparkle and notoriety, AND doing it all this Season with a lot MORE hits, sacks, and hurries...This isn't being a Homer.
