Answer can be found here after you've made your selection. Were you close? Surprised? Was it more or fewer than you'd thought?

I only picked 15 because the true answer - 39 - wasn't an option.

Knew the answer already so not really surprised. Could be worse, could be a lot better. Fortunately most on the list aren't starters, unfortunately a lot on the list are our depth. Here is to a healthy end of the season.

Jesus, I was off. We have a lot of guys on IR. :(

Yeah, I was off by a bit as well. Was looking at pro-football-reference and they had LJP on the IR list and found it odd since he's currently starting for us so I figured the list couldn't be that long. Thought I'd head over to the team page and sure enough, outside of LJP, the list is accurate and freaking long...

Well of course LPJ was cut with an injury settlement and only recently resigned. PFR just hasn't updated yet.

The question regarding a "true" IR count is how many of those guys would be on our team if they were healthy. Mebane, Miller, and KPL are the locks. We'd probably also have Coleman, Scruggs and/or Marsh, and McCoy. That's 6.5 or so if we want to compare with other teams IR.

I'm aware of what happened with LJP, which is why I linked the Seahawks roster page rather than PFR.

Well this made me curious. Per their websites, this is how many guys each team has listed on Reserve/Injured. I didn't count Practice Squad/Injured or Reserve/Non-Football Injury.

Weird stat: The average in both conferences and the league overall is the same--9.875 players on Reserve/Injured at this point in the season.

Kind of a screwy list as most of them are not and would not be starters. There are really just 6 or seven that would be getting regular playing time. So my answer of 7 was correct. I just want that on the record.

When you total up the league wide numbers it is staggering. The rosters need to expand.

What I find interesting is how the mediots keep going on and on and on and on and on about "blah blah blah....it's just amazing all the injuries the cards have and keep winning", yet they have less than league average for injuries. I don't disagree that Arians is a great coach and working wonders w/ what they got but I just assumed they had a ton more injuries w/ the way it is portrayed.

Add another 4 if you count:

PRACTICE SQUAD/INJURED
RESERVE/NON-FOOTBALL INJURY

And look how many defensive lineman.

Agree Rob but it would cost the owners more coin so likely won't happen.

But, but the reason Santa Clara sucks is injuries. Marvin said so.

I picked 11 so was a little low but 13 isn't that bad actually.
