Can't believe we let Leon go..that's some bull ...this league is cut throat !!!

These guys are pretty close. They know the nature of the game, and the nature of Pete's Seahawks, and I'm glad they care enough to comment on it.

Leon was a locker room guy. Everyone on the team loves him.

I can't believe it either. Why let Leon go? He doesn't make that much and what if Harvin gets hurt? Who are you going to risk putting back there? Your #2 wide receiver? I hate this trade more and more.

Sounds like Pete thinks they may try to Re-sign him later?

Doubt he will be available by then!

Pretty cool Leon story.

This couple came into my bar during the season and I had the Oregon/WSU game on the TV. I was visibly rooting for the Cougs so the dude asks me if I'm from Seattle? I tell him no, that I went to school there and consider it a second home, I love the place. He tells me about how his job might relocate him to Redmond there in a few weeks. He seemed a bit nervous and had never been out there and only heard the typical Seattle stereotypes. I started trying to ease his fears and then his wife chimes in that they know somebody that lives in Seattle and plays for the NFL team there. I absolutely lose my shiz and ask them who, since I'll definitely know who it is. The wife didn't want to at first, but I eventually got her to cave so she tells me that his name is Leon. I immediately shout "LEON!" and start going nuts. I tell her Leon's the man, been a big fan since his FSU days and she says that's where she met Leon's wife. Says that Leon has lived a tough, hard life and that he's a man of amazing character and one of the best, most genuine people she knows. You have no idea how great it felt to hear that for some reason.

It doesn't end there. She texts Leon and tells Leon about me. Leon asks for my address and if I have twitter. He gives me a shoutout on twitter and then sends me an autographed picture in the mail. Absolute class.

I sincerely hope that the market for him is dry (it probably won't be) and that he ends up back in Seattle, where he belongs, albeit on a cheaper contract. It won't happen but I can dream, right? That's what being a Seahawks fan is all about!

$2.5 million is a pretty good chunk of change for a kick return specialist. I'm not shocked they released Leon, I just don't like it.

I like Leon, but I'm hoping this means we can upgrade at that 3rd RB spot, hopefully with a younger more dynamic COP guy.

I am sad today, Almost like Death sad. This is Bullsh.. What have you done for me lately league? Only put the team in scoring range more times than one can count and single handedly won games and broke records. He could have been kept and he should have been kept. He deserves a Super Bowl ( that very well could happen in 2014!) especially on the team he helped get to this point. F this./

I think Leon Washington is my favorite person behind Russell Wilson.

I don't like the move, regardless.

The man is awesome.

That is all.
