Why don't they get rid of the helmets?

It'll stop players spearing others head first for one (offense or defense) would force proper tackling techniques by the majority (your always going to have dirty players) and some injuries neck/concussion are always going to occur helmet or not.

Now that they do have these new safety rules that seperate modern football from classic old school concussion football of the past, why are helmets needed?

Why does a QB or WR or most of the defense even need a helmet? It seems the more helmets you remove the less need for helmets there are!

I’ve actually been saying this for years now, if they really wanted to make a change go back to leather or some kind of soft helmet.
