Russ wasn’t the reason the Seahawks lost to Atlanta. The defense didn’t hold up their end late in that game when the Seahawks took a 28-27 lead. Russ was one of the reasons they were in the playoffs in the first place. The prior year with TJack they finished 7-9 ended the season on a 2 game losing streak and missing the playoffs. That was with Lynch and LOB on the team.
Hass would have used more of the field, that was the one day that Wilson hit Miller who played with a severely injured foot and still lit it up play after play, that mystery time out would have not been a deal breaker.

Russ isn't doing much to help with Win/loss record as a starter in Denver either. 4-13 as a starter there so far. Which is bewildering compared to how much winning he did in Seattle. Its quite telling how good of a team he was on while here. Things just worked. Until they didn't.
Not only are they 0-2 to open the season, both losses were at home and both opponents missed the playoffs last year and aren't expected to contend this season. A lot of Broncos fans have already resigned themselves to another losing season in 2023.

They'll be playing at Miami tomorrow, one of just two AFC teams to start the season 2-0, and although you don't get eliminated from the playoffs in Week 3, starting the season 0-3 drops their odds to around 10%. For all intents and purposes, tomorrow is a must win for them.

The smart thing to do in a game like that is to pull all of your starters to keep them from getting injured in a game that you have no chance of winning and to give the backups some work.

But Payton might have been reacting out of spite. I remember my old man telling me about a baseball coach that used to get pissed off at his pitchers and would leave them in even when they were getting shellacked, telling them "you got yourself into this mess, you can get yourself out of it!" Shame them, humiliate them, then see who shows up early for practice the next week.

How much does it secretly bother Russ and Ciara that Kelce and Swift are getting ALL the attention involving an NFL player and a singer?

Yeah, they’re like “how does the world find Taylor and Travis more interesting?”

Because they’re at The top of their game.
Because Kelce is relatable

Russell need only say that he can only control himself. He did a decent job. It’s not his fault when receivers drop passes or the o line racks up penalties.

It was reported before Payton signed on with the Broncos that he didnt like Russ and wasnt crazy about being strapped to him. I think he knows what Russ's holes are and is trying to put him through the fire to get him better or let him burn. And / or he's frustrated by his play and outside the lines antics and wants to break him of his image centric approach to things. I mean, Payton hasnt pulled any punches when it comes to expressing how he feels about the RW3 media machine or the priveleged position he carved out for himself last year. Hard to have the nerve to celebrate yourself when you ( the megastar qb ) were on the field when your team got blasted by 50.

The fact is is that Sean Payton in 2002 when he was with the Giants had his playcalling abilities removed by Coach Jim Fassel, because he was so bad. The Broncos made a horrible trade with the Seahawks in acquiring Russell Wilson, and then backed it up by making just as equally a bad move by acquiring Sean Payton, and paying him an insane amount of money. Peyton will be a complete failure there.

At this point, I feel bad for Russ. He's living through the worst possible career heat check. He's like the executive who leaves Amazon to create his own start-up, only to realize he is an average developer with bad ideas.
