Who's fault was it this time guys? O-cord, O-lineman, not enough weapons (lol). Going to cringe so hard when this front office throws $30+million a year at Russ.

It was actually eerily similar to Russell here, bad O-line pass pro protection. I think Russell was sacked like four times yesterday.

It's hilarious that people even care, it's a flag football game, and poorly played one at that. You gotta REALLY be starving for football to watch the Pro Bowl.

Pro Bowl is a lot like watching Porn, you know there will be plenty of scores it all about the celebrations.

Wait Cates, I thought you "loved" Russell Wilson
Dear god, are we really scraping the bottom of the barrel or what? I give up.

I'm gonna go with the O-Lineman that literally jogged out of the way of the pass rusher so as not to slow him down in any way shape or form.

Who would you say was at fault here?

One sack was on the OL and the rest was RW camping and not pulling the trigger. He threw a pass right to the FS after camping too. Rating or not, he looked like a rookie.
:2thumbs: Thanks for the straight up truth..

That is just the way Russ plays. Leads to some spectacular plays, and some cringe worthy moments. It is what it is.

Sorry to say today does not support this at all. The very first sack he was tackled as soon as he turned, with no chance out of it, as to the rest well believe what you want, but I did not see anyone open, and since all the Qbs took sacks I would say it was more a by-product of bad pass protection and bad play calling I mean really 7 points in a Pro Bowl. While I agree he does at times take some Sacks, it is far from cut and dry, an example from this season one he took on a 3rd and 20, no one was open, that would have gotten the first down. So either throw short and punt or try to give them time. I think a lot of people who complain about the sacks don't pay attention to down, distance, the situation if anyone is open, etc. Today was a great example, 1st sack he got hit in under 2 seconds when he turned after the fake no place to do, and still in the pocket.
2nd sack 3rd and 12 none open, 3rd sack 2nd and 7 hit in under 2 seconds and no one open, 4th sack 2nd and 2 hit in under 2 seconds, no one open. The AFC came to play the NFC came to make an appearance. There were 8 sacks in this game 7 on the NFC. The NFC oline was out to lunch.

Paragraphs, please.

That is, if you want anyone around here to read your stuff.
Yeah where is Roland also?I need this broke down lol.

Oh there is a peeve of mine in there. :34853_doh:
People are exagerating how fast a 260lb man can move ..
You are not moving 10-12 ft in under 2 seconds or 3..
in full football gear .. :177692:

First 2 certainly..

You didnt watch it so why are you criticizing it?

I did watch it (my boys wanted to.. go figure) and not only was the playcalling terrible, the o-line literally played at 50%

One can argue whether a 250lb man can move 10 feet in 2 seconds... but they can get there in 3 to 3.5 and thats about how long RW had in any instance. It was pretty absurd.

Stunned people would use this as a stick to beat RW with, or take anything seriously from a game the coaches and players clearly did not

I'm gonna go with the O-Lineman that literally jogged out of the way of the pass rusher so as not to slow him down in any way shape or form.

Who would you say was at fault here?

Holy crap.

More entertainment than playing tiddlywinks in a piss-pot or making mud pies ...(Key word being "Entertainment").
+ It's the off-season, so anything Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner, or any Seahawk for that matter, is welcome at this time of year. :vodka:

I only watched a few plays but one that sticks in my mind was Russ taking a snap and the RT or TE just stood there while the D end sped past to touch Russ down.

The only thing I even remotely came close to thinking during the pro bowl was... wait Jason Garrett is still an NFL coach? Then back to the other crap I was doing as it played as background noise.

As a diehard, I fail to understand why fellow 12's have such a hard time understanding why you want to take what you can get when it's the offseason. :Dunno:

At the same time, most people can understand why some one would watch it for that reason, while still maintaining that the Pro Bowl is pretty much useless. Those positions aren't mutually exclusive.

Reading everyone's posts I sense there's a concern about Russel's next contract and it's impact on the team over the next 3-5 years. That's completely understandable. In a true high level game with top tier talent we should be able judge player reasonably, but this game was a cupcakefest.

If this was a normal competitive game it would be fair to compare Wilson's challenges to what happened in that game. But that game wasn't. A lot of money is on the line in the future, and lots of ways to spin things. I'm just glad we have a team that is good enough to give 2 chits about.

Let me be crystal clear. The point of my post was never to call out Russell's lack of performance, rather how interesting it was to me that this year's "Golden Boy" (Mahomes) was afforded a luxurious amount of passing protection while Russell was forced to endure the same ol' same ol' when it comes to pass pro.

I found it odd, laughable, and a host of other things. That is all.

Yep, that's when I quit watching. Brutal lack of effort . That game is a joke and has gotten worse every year. Will never tune into it again...
