Rumor - Matt Flynn trade imminent

So is the hold up that Flynn does not want to restructure? I guess we know which he cares more about between money or the chance to play.

Or he just doesn't want to go to the Raiders. Sounds like he isn't guaranteed a starting job there, either. Not guaranteed a starting job AND you have to take less money? Doesn't sound like a good deal for Flynn to me.

He could be holding out hope that if he doesn't restructure he will be cut.

He keeps his money and he can go to any organization he wants.

If Flynn wants a chance to play, this could be his best shot.

Can't blame him if he doesn't want a pay cut or play for the Raiders...if he stays I expect he'll be a content backup.

The Raiders FO should be all over this even for a third round pick his contract isn't bad at all and he's a damn good insurance policy the dude can play. He's not a SB QB but you can make the playoffs with him last time i checked that's better than what there rolling with now. Pryor is a long shot imo. I haven't looked at there draft position but i'm luke warm on all the first round QB's. They should trade for Flynn and use those picks where they can hit a home run. Then pick up a QB in a draft that's better at that position.

back on topic,
I'd be fine with having Flynn longer,
I remember watching him at LSU behind Jamarcus, when he finally got a chance, led us to a National Championship.
He's a more then capable QB. Any NFL team could be straightened out pretty quickly with him on the team. That is if their main problem was a QB. Like if he were to go to the Cards...they'd be dangerous. Or at least i think.

Why are some so freaked out by going commando without Flynn? The plan here has always been to develop and trade backups. Now with Flynn we didn't develop him, but if we can turn Flynn into two prospects, awesome.

There is probably going to be a day when we look back at the Flynn trade just like we look back at the Tapp trade. Those two picks for Flynn? I bet they already have a prospect or two in mind for the pick this year.

in all seriousness? Less than zero. I think they like someone in the draft. Veteran back ups are far and few between right now. My call has been that they like Ryan Nassib.
