I love the old logo and the silver. But still. Nothing that happened back then was half as cool ( and beating Miami around Xmas in 1983 was really cool) as what we did with the blue pants and white shirts. The #1 look of all time.

Would definitely be cool for a couple games a year and maybe the old white/grey on the road too. I believe under the current rules teams are allowed only 1 alternate uniform aside from color rush though (if they still use color rush) so our wolf greys would have to be abandoned.

Yes, the current rules say you can wear the color rush or alternates 3 times per year. We switched in 2012, so we meet the 5 year minimum. But the wolf grays would have to go.

The only exception is change of ownership to change the time limits in place. And I'm pretty sure we'll have to wait for the new owners to decide if the want to make the switch. I would be highly shocked if we did it under our current ownership.

The color rush is here to stay.

Personally I think the team should poll the fans like they did with the helmets (blue or silver) years ago. It would be an effective way to measure fan response to seeing the retros at least once a year. I would bet the vast majority would vote yes. As for for the superstitious notion that the retros are somehow cursed because we didn't enjoy anywhere near the success as we have in the current uniforms, that's silly. The players wearing them for one game or two have zero ties to the players or circumstances back then and it would be a great nostalgic trip for those of us older 12's.

For years many of us fans have been clamoring for the Seahawks to play a game or two each season in their retro uniforms (80's mainly). I've heard all about the rule the NFL has that they don't allow different colored helmets, you can only put the retro logo on your current helmets (or something to that effect). Well that's hogwash as I was discussing this with someone yesterday, there are plenty of examples where other teams get to wear different colored helmets (Steelers yellow helmets or Patriots white helmets as example)...So that "rule" doesn't seem to fly unless it only applies to certain teams and not all.

I also heard the rumor that Paul Allen didn't like the retros and that's why we never wore them but I have no clue if there is any truth to that. The bottom line is I think a ton of 12's would love to see the Seahawks rock the retros once or twice a year. Especially if it was not announced before hand. How cool would that be?!?

Thoughts?

I'd buy all the jerseys.

Enough already with the stupid action green, puke yellow and whatever else the league's designers made up of 12 year old girls come up with.

GIVE US WHAT WE WANT!!
