Anyone still taking the advice on waiting until gameday to buy their tickets?

any advice that is given by even professionals has been completely wrong here. your guess is as good as anyone's.

As a public service message....here is the data I have from Stubhub gathered on some days before prices got crazy.

This puts things in perspective for those looking to buy at the last minute. It might also make you think twice. It made me pull the plug. But then again, I was fortunate to go to NYC last year. Price noted is lowest price for a ticket in the zone noted. Formatting might be screwed up but each price next to each zone matches up in sequence with the dates...

What other choice was there after tickets shot to $4K+ each for upper corner last week?

Looks like the brokers grossly underestimated the interest this year. Someone is going to take a bath and some people are going to be pissed when they go to pickup their tickets and they won't be available...

that is exactly what i am worried about. getting your money back for the tickets is cold comfort.

Cheapest ticket is now $8K for a single upper level corner. Cheapest pair is $9K. Reminds me of tech stocks in 1999.

It sucks that tickets aren't actually available at face value to anyone who doesn't win the lottery.

The 3 participating teams (AFC, NFC, host) combine for 40% of the tickets. Where do the other 60% go? Some straight to corporate sponsors, but most of them are sold directly to ticket brokers. Similar to hotels, the NFL guarantees sales that way to make their money, and the brokers assume the risk. In the end, the fans suffer because we get gouged with a bidding system (which someone might argue is a fair market system.)

The lesson, as always, is eff ticket brokers.

Hold out until kickoff or better yet half-time show. All the corporates will leave by then.

I am still going and am not going to pay more than $2K each. Something really fishy is going on...nobody in their right mind would pay these prices...especially when "upper corner" and "lower sideline" prices are virtually the same.

There might be a lot of fans scrambling on game day for tickets , which of course would drive prices back up .

at least I think.

I am torn on what to do , I have the airfare and car booked , :white_flag:

We are going to the NFL Experience and the other stuff going on down there...just enjoy the weekend. If we get into the game great and if not then we will just enjoy the game and the experience of being in the Super Bowl city (and being on a plane full of hawk fans, hotel full of hawk fans, etc.).

prices are already driven up. less than 150 for sale on SH, cheapest ticket 9700.

on tiqiq, 31 for sale, cheapest, single at 7100. 51 on ticket exchange, cheapest, 9287.

here is my 2 cents. i think brokers had until today or perhaps tomorrow to deliver tickets they agreed to sell but did not have. finally, they threw in the towel and had to fill orders and poof....all the remaining tickets are gone.

it is over. unless joe corporate is going to be hanging around before game day to sell a single of a person that did not show up, i have no idea how you get tickets.

check the cancellation terms on your flight. perhaps you get a credit towards another flight.

between this and my last post, SH now has 587 for sale???? WTF? perhaps the listing deadline was 2pm today and that listings where there were no hard tickets were removed and that now only tickets that are ACTUALLY with SH are now listed.

Regardless of what is happening, it is still the fault of the NFL to allow so many tickets to get into the hands of the brokers. Easy fix is to offer more tickets to the teams representing. Furthermore, I find it ludicrous that the Cards season tix holders were in a lottery for tix too.. total BS.

easy fix is credit card only entry and NFL locks ticket to persons CC that is allocated by the NFL.

did you see any re-sale tickets for the foo fighters halloween show....i did not.

but then again, this would result in no actual fans of either team getting tickets. perhaps the NFL says that if you can not go, you get your ticket pulled off your CC and it goes into a pot for resale?

i dont know what the solution is.

The host team always gets 5% of the tickets.
