Fifth rounder isn't a big cost for the upside, but he's been injured enough that we should probably temper our excitement. He's only been in 18 of Washington's last 32 games and he hasn't managed to play every game in a season for his first five years.

But for a fifth rounder? Yeah, worth a try.

I'm not tempering poo. After watching the other signings we've made so far, I'm partying tonight.

Anyone found out his arm length yet?

Maybe this guy is the genuine NCB the team needs, or will push the two incumbents hard for a starter's position.

Found it at www.seahawksdraftlog.com

6015, 201, 32 5/8 arm, 79 wing, 4.44 40yd, 35 VJ, 10’0″ BJ, 4.16 SS, 7.10 3C

These are good numbers and fits him right into the wheelhouse for Hawks CB in terms of measurables.

Don't be so quick to dismiss Flowers. Dunbar has played a lot of Nickle in his career too.
I don’t want to see Flowers on the field until he proves he can get his head turned and play the ball on a consistent basis.

For a safety conversion to NFL starting CB in one season, with a sophomore regression, methinks a few here are being a tad hard on CB- Flowers. He was drafted in the 5th rd. @ pick 146

Let's wait and watch his 3rd season. The curve is trending very upward.

I'll hold my breath on this one. It's a good price with nice upside. But... since he became a starter, he's missed about half of his potential starts to injury.

With that said, JS has done a fantastic job of solidifying most of our major positional needs before the draft. Kind of feels like we're 2 pass rushers away from being as good (on paper) as last years team.

I think the team also needs some interior DLinemen who can get a push.

They can solve the DE thing by adding back Clownety to get the team back to even at DE.

With all due respect, how was Flowers play tending upwards. His play got progressively worse towards the end of the year and he sucked in the playoffs. Let him learn in the film room and on the practice field. IMO he is trending towards Tharold Simon 2.0.

Dunbar is an outstanding slot corner but looks to be a shut down boundary corner as well. John just fixed the Hawk secondary.

If we develop a pass rush, it will make all the DBs better. It is tough to cover when the QB has all day to throw a pass.
