Niners are 10-4 not 11-3.

Yes, but a few weeks ago, there was a strong division of opionion here as to who we should root for when the Niners played the Saints at the Superdome. I (and many others) felt we should root for the Saints in order to give us an ironclade and nearly insurrmountable 3.5 game lead in the division. Others argued that we had the division well in hand and we needed breathing room for the number one seed.

In hindsight, those rooting for the Saints had the right of it.

Had the Niners won, they would be 11-3 right now (rather than 10-4), and San Fran would have a 4-1 divison record vs our 3-2 and would have the inside track to both the Division and a first round bye.
