haha, I'm supposed to be studying too so I'm going to go back to that, but just wanted to type:

It's 3rd and 10 - Avril - Clark - Richardson - Bennett - WHAT YAH GONNA DO BROTHER?!

Turn around and run into the locker room! ANY locker room! Or just hitchhike to the airport!

Wooooohoooooooo! :0190l:
What a great Friday!

Im shocked that so many damn jets fans on Twitter think they actually came out way ahead on this deal.

Did they not watch any Hawks games last year?

This is going to end up being the league's best pass-rushing team since that Giants team that had Strahan, Umenyiora, and Tuck.
He is a beast against the run too.

Sept 10 can't get here soon enough. Love that we get to see the new d-line against Aaron Rodgers right away.

Is Richardson open perhaps to discussing contract extension, I'm wondering? I don't know if he is or not. But if so, the Hawks just pulled off a major coup.

It's a great deal for the Jets. They're arguably the league's worst team and they get a second round pick for a guy they were likely losing after the season anyway. They have absolutely nothing at WR, and this gets them a veteran guy for Christian Hackenburg to target for when he is inevitably thrown to the wolves after week 3.

It's a win-win. Good trade for both teams.

Seeing a lot of Sheldon Richardson playing left tackle jokes on Twitter now.

Ha.

Joke's gonna be on them soon.

You bet it is. He's going to be a heck of a left tackle.

Perfect.

Now Rubin is a possible cap casualty, right? It'd open up $2.2M. Trading Lane $4M. $6.2M more off the books.

This also frees up a receiving spot for one of the young guys. Win-win. Great move.

I didn't know Kearse would be reasonably valuable to anyone. I like the guy and appreciate what he has done, but it seems like the Jets front office is high on peyote.

Ironically, McDowell's injury might have put us in a better position.
We lose a Kearse who may or may not have made the club, but who if he did, would stunt the development of other upcoming receivers.
Our DL just got a helluva lot better, who knows what Malik really would have brought as a rookie.

So in recap, we have solidified not only our DL but also our receivers.
Great move.

Just curious why no one else jumped on the Richardson trade talk.

If only we had taken Foster...Sigh.

The Jets are rebuilding. They traded for our 2nd Rd pick, make no mistake. Kearse only sweetened the pot.

Well there's our inside pass rush!

I was hoping we were making room for a LT, but I ain't gonna complain about getting Richardson!

So we also ratcheted up our 7th round pick about 30 spots by swapping those picks. Icing on the cake.
