7-1 on the road. Best road record in Seahawks history. Undefeated in all Eastern time zone games. It's so nice to not have that pit in my stomach when we have the early game week in and week out.

7-1 on the road and perfect on the east coast.

OK who are these guys, and what did they do with the Seattle Seahawks?!

IMO, it's particularly impressive when you consider that we had 5 10 am road games this season and we won all of them.

Yep. I think it was primarily an issue with Holmgren's teams.

Pete was on his weekly radio show this morning and at least partially attributed the road successes to one change, and that was that all players take the same bus. I never realized that in the past players kind of did their own thing. He said something about it helping team chemistry or something like that.

I'm not sure if that's truly the case or not, but I'm loving being able to be confident of having a solid chance to win these early games. It's a really good feeling.

Capt Obvious here but they are better on the road than at home this season. The best they can finish at home is with 6 wins. Great job on the road record, it will serve them well in the playoffs (if they don't get HFA).

After the playoffs, we'll be 8-2 at home. :stirthepot:

5-0 this year with 10AM away games. Unreal. These are the Golden Years...STILL!

For those that thought the end of the LOB Era would be the end to our success...

They were talking to Cliff Avril, former hawk, the other day on KJR about the east coast thing and in his opinion it was due to the entire team being put on an east coast time schedule from the beginning of the season so it wasn't anything weird to have to get up for east coast time games.

One other thing he mentioned was there was no internet on the way out of town so the guys would stay focused on the game at hand.

Sounds like removing any potential distractions would be a good idea from a team bonding issue as well.

7-1 OTR, hard to believe.

GO HAWKS!!!

It is quite the accomplishment.

Strange quirk this year though is they have played some crappy teams on the road and tougher opponents at home.

Just read this fact:

Russell Wilson is 17-4 in East Coast games, which is better than the record of every EC team except New England over their last 21 home games.

Not sure why you had to specifically say that Russell was 17-4. Could have easily said "the team" or "Pete Carroll" since it is a team game and Pete runs the show. Russell is no doubt a huge factor, but he still needs help.

Anyways, the fact that the team is 17-4 in the last 21 road games is pretty impressive. Now we have to ge that same dominance back at home. For some reason the offense just doesn't seem to take advantage of their chance to make calls and adjustments without noise in the last couple years.

No not road games, east coast games. And it's not the last 21, it's every game he's ever played on the east coast.
Pete Carroll isn't 17-4 in east coast games given he was the coach for 2 east coast teams prior to being the Seahawks coach.
And the Seahawks have played far more east coast games than that.
I could have said 17-4 in the last 21 games but then that becomes an arbitrary start point unless you say "which happens to be since 2012, when Russell Wilson became the QB"

OK I get where you are coming from now. That being said I can only see Pete been on the East Coast once without Russ (2011 @ Giants) and we won that game thanks to a Browner pick 6. So Pete's Seahawks should be 18-4 on the East Coast.

11-3, 7-1 on the road. And yes, it IS good enough to win close games. In fact, it's ALWAYS good enough when you win. Just sayin...…...
