it could also possibly mean that nothing has been released yet. They are pretty much updating those as soon as something is released. Almost made think before they have someone in the NFL office that does it for them......

Finally, contract details. Thanks for the link 253hawk. This is completely no risk with that deal. I see nothing but upside here even if he's just a veteran presence to help bring along the young guys.

At this point playing Evans at LG is IMHO solely about getting him on the field, getting him used to the guys and then seeing where he can fit in.

If Ifedi can play RG then better to develop him but the only way to find out is to put him there and let the team figure it out during pre-season.

If Evans can play LG then great but only way to figure that out is by testing him there. He already knows how to play on the right side so can fix it later in pre-season

I think at this point Odhiambo & Poole at RT will dictate a lot of things. IF both of those guys struggle at RT, then they have to consider Ifedi at RT w/Evans at RG, but if Odhiambo/Poole look good enough at RT, then Evans will be relegated to backup Guard, which is fine as long as the young guys are progressing at RT.

I think fans are overlooking Sowell a bit. Sowell has spent multiple practices recently rotating in at tackle with the first team. Pete mentioned him as someone pushing for a starting role at both LT and RT. Specifically he said "He’s playing both sides, he’s competing for playing time to start—he’s giving Garry a run there, which is great—and he gives us flexibility".

At this point I don't see Evans challenging for a starting spot but just being more of an experienced backup at guard and insurance if they cut Webb.

Just heard Webb will likely be cut due to being out of shape.. Wonder if Evans was brought it in for RG and then they'll move Ifedi to RT? Who knows.

Cutting Webb would be a considerable cap hit, but that hasn't stopped them before . . .

They are working on one day at a time. It is all about looking at combinations going into the 1st preseason game. It is appropriate going into this week end. I'm also looking forward to getting a first look at George Fant this weekend.
