The only thing I can think of is that he has conversations with his coordinators but is otherwise hands-off with them regarding the details. I mean, running a football team has got to involve a lot of stuff. I would assume you have to rely on your coaching staff to implement what you tell them.

I've managed teams of developers that I have given designs with diagrams, code samples, etc., and they still f things up. Now, I have then fired those guys, but it seems to take a lot for Pete to do that.
