Painful loss, however, I believe this is the kind of team effort that we can build on to battle over the next two (hopefully three!) games.

Really questionable coaching by Petersen down the stretch. Should have called TO on 4th to give your offense the ball again if he makes it.

Why didn't we just snap and down it a few times. That was just silly taking a chance. We got the clinching 1st down and then fumble it away.

40 sec play clock right?
1st and 10
1.23 left
1 timeout left for Arizona

WHY DO YOU RUN THE BALL?

Field goal or not we gave them this game.

The refs had the most to do with it but we still should have been able to overcome that.

Yeah I said the same. Even if you punt on 4th you're looking at them having the ball at like their own 20 with what, 20 secs. left?

Remember that Pete is still seeing what he has available for a team to do what he needs to work on. His strength may have not been that great today...but he is a great coach. He needs his own recruits in for his scheme to work.

^ NO

40 second twice is 80 secs
1 sec per knee
1 timeout

Game over
And I said it as it happened higher up :)

Chris Petersen, Cyler Miles, Cooper, and two long snappers cost us this game. The refs had a huge assist, but the turnovers and missed XP were inexcusable.

Why didn't UW call timeout in case the kick is made???

I will never understand how basic clock management is completely beyond so many coaches college and pro. These idiots makes millions of $, but completely shit the bed time and time again.

Instead they're all enamored with this icing the kicker nonsense which NEVER WORKS!!!!

In John Ross UW has one of the best KR's in the country, there is literally no reason not to call a time out and leave yourself a chance in the event that the FG is good. Or in the event that the FG is missed, but as a coach you're a damn moron who tries the icing the kicker trick only to have it backfire like it always does!

Quit blaming the refs. When you make as many mental & physical mistakes as the Huskies did you deserve to lose.

I am not mad at Petersen but he needs to do better at the end of the game.

His clock mgmt. was Holmgren bad at the end there. "Great coach"? Um, not so much in the 4th qtr. today.

He's one of two people on that field making millions of dollars, and his clock management at the end of the game is squarely responsible for this loss.

That really doesn't work as an excuse not to take a timeout at the end and running instead of just running out the clock

Those two items show a lack of awareness

Les Miles does similiar stupid things and he is a great coach of players
