My apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I didn't see a thread for this. I didn't think anything of it at first, but for those who have digital cable, do you know who writes the descriptions for the games? Not sure if it's the same for all providers, but for me (regarding the NFCCG), it says:
"The NFC will crown a new champion this season after the defending world champion New York Giants failed to make the playoffs; Atlanta is the No. 1 seed after finishing the regular season with a 13-3 record, while San Francisco is the No. 2 seed".
Makes sense now, but this description was written before the game even started today - don't know if it was written before or after the conclusion of the 49ers game though. It seems to imply that the 1-2 seeds would face off.
I didn't watch the entire game, so maybe this is just a strange coincidence.
