Seemed like his instincts were totally lacking in game four. He missed some reads and hesitated a lot. The lack of between the tackles instincts that jumped out like a sore thumb at Notre Dame were evident once again in the preseason finale.
He seems like the kind of back that is going to really struggle to get 20+ yard runs in the NFL. He seems to lose a lot of speed when he changes direction or makes a big cut. He's good at spinning forward for the extra yard, but he really struggles with elusiveness. I think for a back like him having vision and decisiveness is critical because once he starts dancing you can pretty much end any hopes of a big run.
I'm sure Procise will make the team, but at this point I don't think he's yet ready to see significant NFL snaps. I hope they save him more for garbage time until he gets a better feel for Cable's system.
