Russell Wilson highlights, 4th and 18, Josh Gordon spectacular catch, lots and lots of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett! Lke I said, 21 minutes, (and 2 seconds) of GOODNESS!

There's a story on the page too. And Oh...STOP calling it a "Run First" offense! It is NOT a run first offense. Pete Carroll will tell you so. Russell Wilson threw the ball 516 times! They ran the ball 481 times, BUT, 75 of those were Russell, and IMHO, most of those were not running plays, they were passing plays that broke down.

So subtract, let's say, 50 of RW's rushes, and add them to passing plays, and you get 566 vs431.

Carroll: Run-first approach doesn't 'limit' QB Wilson By Kevin Patra Around the NFL Writer

During an interview with Q13 FOX's Aaron Levine during the combine, Carroll said the offense's struggles in 2019 weren't a product of questionable philosophy, just simply offensive breakdowns that plague any inefficient unit.

"I don't think it puts any limits on the way (Russell Wilson) likes to play," Carroll said of establishing the run, via SeattlePI. "We just got to do it at the right time. We'd like to run the ball in the fourth quarter when we're killing people. We weren't able to do that as much as we'd like to because the games were so close this year."

Those stats, and Carroll's interview with Levine will certainly dampen enthusiasm of those hoping to "let Russell cook." :stirthepot:

Thanks for the link, ivotuk!

Sorry, but Pete is hard to take these days.

He really does seem to be way past his coaching prime.

This is RW's team, not his.

Hopefully Russ is stepping up and letting the front office know what he wants. Tired of his best years being wasted.
