Two trades yesterday

Seattle sends a 7th round pick to Oakland for S- Shalom Luani

Seattle trades WR- Marcus Johnson to the Colts for TE- Darrell Daniels

Looking art the final 53 currently. The one thing that pops out is the notion that there is absolutely no depth whatsoever. This can get ugly if injuries start piling up. On the other hand most of the starters seem credible, so false expectations might arise if they start the season well.

Or, there is the argument that depth beyond the starters has been dismal since 2014 (see 2013-2016 draft classes- but that's another story).

To my eye, LB depth (minus no KJ) could be better than it's been in a while. DL depth has many question marks, but could end up solid. DB depth is a concern.

On offense, WR, OL, and RB look deeper than the past few. TE has bodies, but lots of ???

Overall, it could pan out alright.

Thanks Seafan, apparently the Nkansah signing is subject to a physical so he’s headed this way and it should final later today, I have Lucas noted already and will add Nkansah when the team announces the signing.

EDIT: Forget it I will list him now along with DT- Frank Heron, both are being widely reported as added to the PS

Thanks Jville your are very speedy at posting these roster changes, and it is greatly appreciated.

So the PS is settled for likely not very long as I'd expect there to be some significant churning this season as JS likes to make more than 1 PS change/week and thus effectively increase the number of players on the PS.

I'm sure not surprised at the McKissic move and was more surprised he wasn't IR'd right off the rattle.

I think the ominous league wide warning from all the transactions is that there is still a very real shortage of offensive tackles and edge rushers. Teams have to scheme to account for those talent limitations.
