McEvoy was being used at safety during the mini camp which is good because I don't think he would make it in the team as a WR.

Thanks John, I bookmarked that site.

My thinking is there is need for a page on this site that deals with all the transactions and the DC and roster.

random

Although McEvoy was used during the rookie mini camp as a DB the team still lists him on their site as a WR.

I suspect his position may officially change after these OTA's are done if he stays a DB.

Note:

Now moved to FS for now.

Note:

Now moved back to WR.

Yes, not questioning that, sorry. I just wanted to share where I find the most current information on this. Even Ourlads isn't what it once was.

Was thinking exactly on your thought line and appreciated your well intended assistance. This stuff isn't rocket science but it can often be difficult to find accurate sources as the team is sometimes very slow in reporting their moves, so any site that helps is appreciated.

How many other teams have a non-specialist LS? Not sure i'm convinced that a backup lineman in Sowell is going to do double duty.

If all things are equal won't that decision be based upon who is the better long snapper and who wins the competition for the job?

To me it'd be sweet if that reality (Sowell as OT and LS) were true as the team would save a roster spot and would be able to keep an extra OLB, DLineman, WR, DB, or other.

Cap number remains the same with zero additional transactions since adding Fortt.

jammerhawk, Just wanted to let you know, the Seahawks waived UDFA signee CB Jamal Marshall yesterday. As of yet, there hasn't been a replacement announced for that roster spot.

Seahawks have signed LB Kyle Coleman, an undrafted rookie free agent from Arkansas-Pine Bluff, to fill the opening on their roster.

Thanks Jville updating soon.

This player Coleman was apparently here during rookie mini camp and was tried out on both sides of the ball according to a SeattleTimes article on his signing. He played LB in college but NFL Draft Scout lists him as a FB. I'll list him as whatever the team lists him as for now, OLB.

Updated

The team's cap position will not change with the deletion or addition of these two UDFA players as they would not be calculated b/c their salary doesn't get into the top 51 for the team.

Thanks Jammerhawk, the color coding is awesome. Helps understand what depth we had and have on our roster. I really appreciate it.

Thanks. I'm happy you find it useful.

After the cuts to 53 I will also identify those players who are FAs, RFAs or ERFAs by some method that makes them readily identifiable as it helps to know who's who as the season progresses.

As said before it really helps if we all can post the roster moves here to make the updating quicker.

I've now identified all the players who will be either a UFA, a RFA, or an ERFA in 2017. Clearly this may change over the course of the preseason or the season. I decided it was worth doing now, and was easier than I first thought.

It has has been recently reported i believe by the TImes that DT- Brandon Bryant is no longer practicing as a FB & that DT- Taniela Tupou is practicing exclusively as a FB, that Tanner McEvoy is, as been observed earlier here, practicing as a DB and not as a WR even though he's listed on the team roster as a WR. Further, that during these OTAs Kevin Pierre-Louis is practicing with the 1's as a SOLB rather than as a WOLB and that Kristjan Sokoli is practicing a G rather than as a C for now which is interesting but may reflect he is not a natural as a C. Coach Cable did however say in an earlier interview that he'd see once the pads went on in TC how Sokoli's development is turning out.

I've now made those changes to the DC above based upon that information.

I doubt much turns on any of it but it does indicate the team is checking out Pierre-Louis to see if he has any positional versatility. I think he could be on the bubble this season as he has had trouble staying healthy.
