I'm convinced that the CFP committee wanted Georgia to win and Florida State to lose. Thus setting up a UW and Michigan semi in the Rose Bowl, and a Georgia and Texas semi in the Sugar Bowl.

The apple cart has been quite shaken. Alabama beats Georgia.

I think the committee would have preferred Georgia, Michigan, UW, FSU all to win because it would have made their job very easy. It's awfully easy to justify keeping the top 4 the same if they all win.

Now that Georgia has lost, they've got some very tough decisions to make.

Love when people say this, Huskies will be blown out by 2 TD's.
Trash take. Anyone who thinks Washington isn't a legit natty contender doesn't watch enough college football.

Milrose is terrible. I'm blown away Georgia didn't have like 5 picks. What a bad game by their defense.

If Michigan and FSU win:

Michigan
Washington
FSU
Texas

You just can't deny the head to head. Texas won their conference too. There's no rational argument that Bama should jump ahead of Texas. Maybe you shouldn't of had a stupid 4 team playoff with 5 major conferences.

I really don't expect FSU to beat Lousiville though. So

Michigan
UW
Texas
Bama

Isn't that what they said about the Oregon game?

Yes. It's just plain ignorance. A lot of people have no idea what they're talking about, but feel the need to run their mouths anyway. It's kind of like a national pastime at this point.

If Michigan lays an egg against Iowa, and barely squeaks out a victory, slight chance UW could be the #1 seed.

Iowa is a ranked team and it's not like UW blew out Oregon.

The last weird scenario is FSU winning and Michigan winning. Then its...

--Michigan
--UW
--FSU
--Alabama probably in, but Texas royally peed off having beaten Alabama

Michigan is a 22 point favorite. I mean, come on. I've never seen such a spread like that in such a conference championship game that I can remember.

I just don't know how they could possibly justify putting Alabama in over Texas. They are both 1 loss conference champions, but Texas beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Alabama also needed a miracle to narrowly escape a loss against a very mediocre Auburn team last week.

Yup. I just don't see them leaving the SEC out of the CFP picture, though. But I could be wrong. It would be weird seeing the SEC shut out. Personally speaking, I love the idea of it.

Iowa's offense is so pathetic that the game is virtually unwatchable.
