Cam Newton Injured in Car Accident

I just heard it on KIRO and looked for a link. This is the only one I'm finding and details seem scarce

A car crashed and overturned on the Church Street bridge over I-277 about 12:30 p.m. and ambulances are on the scene. A second car involved in the crash is also in the road, near Hill Street.

An Observer photographer at the scene said Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was injured in the wreck.

KIRO is reporting that he's sitting up and smiling and didn't want to go to the hospital but was being transported there as a precautionary measure.

Seems like nothing too serious

SportsCenter just said same thing, that he refused to go, but finally agreed for precautionary reasons.

Makes sense as KIRO is Seattle's ESPN affiliate, they probably are feeding out the same information as it comes in

Wow. Hope that dude is OK. Scary-looking accident, but fortunately sounds like he's not seriously injured.

I assumed this was a hoax, because there's been so many hoax 'broke both his legs' stories in recent years.
