Ziggy is hurt again with new injury per reports.

Not like he was contributing anything anyway. Just keep Collier active and give him Ziggy's snaps.

Biggest issue throughout his career. If he can get right for when Reed is eligible I think the front 7 should be fine. That said, nothing great about what we've seen so far from a unit expected to help out one of the least paid secondaries in the NFL.

It's still premature to call the Ansah signing a bust. Let's see if he can get fully healthy and back to form soon.

However, more troubling was Pete's assessment in the presser that Ansah didn't use any variety in pass rush technique last game-he simply tried to muscle his way through and failed.

It's not as if the defense failed. The Saints offense put up a total of 265 yards. Teddy was getting rid of the ball quickly

He is who we thought he was
Yep. I predicted this (one game and a re-injury) would happen about week 6 or 7 but guess it happened earlier. It'll happen again in like a month and a half or so and then they'll be "hopeful he'll be back for the playoffs but he'll get hurt again in practice and be shut down. IMO, he's collecting a paycheck, Doubt he'd have ever been signed if the Clowney trade happens in the offseason.

Be very happy to be wrong and see him back in a couple of weeks and playing full time through the rest of the season

Funny, I saw about 10 guys on the injury report and most of them will play. This probably includes Ziggy.

Tactically it makes sense to have him sit against AZ, so he can be ready against LAR on THUR Night.

Sorry but that makes no sense. If he is ok to go you play him regardless of the opponent.

With a back issue it's likely not a binary answer. The question is whether it is worth having Ziggy at 70% against the Cardinals and 50% against the Rams, or 0% against the Cardinals and 90% against the Rams. The answer varies as your assumptions about those percentages change.

He's Limited in practice, not DNP, so that's at least a hopeful sign.

I dunno, being short on the DL is the last thing we need against a mobile QB in a division game. Arizona will be saving stuff for us that we haven't seen before.

IMO, I would use Ziggy very carefully and focus his greater efforts against the Rams. Backs are tough to cure, little work, a lot of rest.
