About 5 years ago, it became obvious that this team was being held back by having one of the worst, if not the worst, Olines in the NFL. Nothing's changed. If JS does not acquire some decent OL talent this week, I'm all for showing him the door next Monday. I just have a strong feeling 2025 is going to be another season with a bottom-5 OL, and that the quality of play will suffer quite a bit. Unnecessary failure.

I follow and watch the Seahawks for entertainment. 5+ years of this 🐂💩 is taking away the entertainment value and providing too much frustration in its place.
Five years? Its been 10+ since we've had a decent O-Line, having Mr. Limited back there hid some of the deficiencies. Way too many 1st-2nd round draft picks spent on guys that couldn't even get a 2nd contract with the team. Britt, Pocic, Ifedi.

Feel good. Darnold + $10 million + a 3rd > Geno. Geno didn’t want to be here.

I think JS is working something with Fries, just want to bring him in for medicals.

MM has his hands all over this team and building it in his vision. Have extra picks (high picks) to accelerate his vision.

This team doesn’t feel like the same retread we’re used to. I trust the process and excited for the future.

I like the moves so far. But I try not to get too high or low on any offseason maneuvers. There are too many people who get paid way too much money to have an opinion that's rarely close to being accurate. Who am I?

Yep. So many people making the comment "We're not winning a SB with Geno". Yeah, probably not, but we're not winning a SB with a bottom 5 OL either and that has been a much bigger problem for a lot longer.

Good luck to Darnold. If they don't give him a much better line than they gave Geno, it's gonna be a rough go in Seattle.

I feel pretty good overall, looking forward to year two of the Macdonald era. Will be missing a couple of guys I loved, but life goes on. Dumping all that salary was necessary. Looking forward to new faces and a new crop of guys to root for.

I feel great! Not one person on this forum can predict what the Seahawks offense will be or do in 2025, not even our opponents. We have brand new coaches, players, etc, etc.

I feel great about the moves and am optimistic going into next year…but I’ll be the first to admit I’m a Seahawks homer since the day they became a franchise. I think Super Bowl every year, so my vote shouldn’t count

I feel hopeful, but not overly confident. Hoping our draft is a big pick-me-up. Other things that are an upper is I like what Kubiak wants to do and I am on pins and needles to see how much better Coach can make this defense in the second year. What he got done in the first year I found to be very impressive.

I'm feeling fine. Darnold is just a cheaper stopgap so that doesn't really bother me. It might be a lean couple of seasons coming up, but i'm excited to see how it pans out in the end. Better to try anything than be a constant fringe team forever.

Holy shit. I voted before I realized we F'd up and signed DarNO. Please downgrade my vote by 2 positions, and get off my lawn.
My camper is on your lawn and will stay there until I can get the tires aired up. That may take a week. LMAO

The team is worse as it stands as of now. They need to add a minimum of 2 wr and Darnold is a younger cheaper Geno with imo bigger bust potential. Hopefully they attract a few more players to sign and draft to the need of this team now and not some stretch at qbotf that busts...

Feel pretty good. Darnold is much cheaper than Geno and has a much higher upside with at worst being the same level as Geno was this year. You still gotta go Oline though and really need to tie down Fries and if they do I think it'd be a pretty good offseason.

Pretty good overall.

This team, top to bottom, wasn't working with the pieces they had leftover from Pete. So I don't blame Macdonald for wanting to shake things up and put his stamp on the team. I just want to see the team improve, even if it is just slightly.

I understand why they made the cuts and trades. I hate that they signed Darnold. If the goal was to go younger and cheaper, then they should have just rolled the dice with Howell. That would have left us with more money for the other missing pieces. This year will put us in position to get a good QB in next year's draft though.

Darnold is better than Howell, by several thousand miles.

I don't think they're banking their future on Darnold, given how the contract seems to be, but he still makes them competitive and gives them options at drafting a QB this or next year (if it comes to that). I think rolling with Howell would be a sign of just giving up and I don't think any of the remaining top guards (Fries) would whiff at this team if that was the case. Darnold signing at least makes it more appealing and that the team is serious about change but not tanking.
