I know this seems so trivial, and I guess it is, but c'mon... This east coast bias is outta control...

I was just now watching my recording of last night's episode of Showtime's "Inside The NFL", anticipating some awesome NFL Films highlights of the Rams game. But what do I see? We were relegated to the "whip around" segment at the end of the show just to fulfill their obligation to show at least some highlight of every NFL team. They spent 10 seconds on us, showing the Golden Tate TD. Then on to some other meaningless highlights. I was expecting an extended segment, seeing as we had JUST LOCKED DOWN BEST RECORD IN THE NFC, AND WITH IT, THE #1 SEED, PLUS WINNING THE NFC WEST! They had several extended, full-length segments on TEAMS THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE PLAYOFFS! WTF man?

Ok, rant over. Sorry about the gratuitous use of the CAPS... :34853_doh: :eek:hwell2: :cussing:

Don't see a problem. Seattle winning at home is pretty unnewsworthy. Factor in nothing monumental happened, and we blew out a last place team, who cares?

Meanwhile there was tons of great close, divisional round games this week as well as individual players setting records.

Yeah, but still... If you could swap the Seahawks with the Giants in the exact same position, half the show would have been about the Giants...

Just a little irritating is all. *sigh*

Over the next couple of weeks the media won't be able to avoid talking about us.

Ahh Inside The NFL,I loved that show when it first came out-Len Dawson/Nick Buco..I can remember they were actually biased for the Seahawks in 84 and I was loving it..They couldn't show Dave Krieg ,Largent and Warner highlights enough..Today that show just isn't what it had and I can see why from what you said, they can't even give the Hawks props for their great season..

BlueThunder I feel ya , I think what bothers me about that kind of stuff is I want to see more stuff about our team. For me its not so much the fact that we aren't talked about very much as it is I am so addicted to this team nothing is ever enough for me. The fact we won the NFC west and the #1 seed adds to the irritating side of it for sure. We will get ours when Pete and Russell are holding the trophy.

You guys must not have NFL Network because they've been drooling over us all year.

I have NFL network and watch daily. It's not so much the drooling I am after its some more in depth stories or analysis of the team. For the most part what I see on there are people picking us to win and after we win they just say yeah the hawks won here's a couple clips . I just would really appreciate a bit more of a in depth look at the team, but like I said I can't get enough of the team. It's not so much a disrespect thing for me.

I don't see a problem with them talking about teams that were eliminated. This week was one of the last times to talk about those teams until after the Super Bowl. Like others have said, they soon won't be able to avoid talking about us.

This is true however I don't mind that either. Just make a damn seahawks network all seahawks all the time and i'd be good the national media could stay the same and i'd be happy too lol

I mind it a little because it flies in the face of what everyone saw who bothered to watch the game. The Niners BARELY won by two points at home in the last minute or so in the game, when they easily played the game of the season and Seattle frankly didn't play especially well. Nevermind that Seattle blew them out (twice!) when San Fran played in Seattle (which is going to be the case), and never mind that the only reason San Fran won out the stretch is because they got LUCKY at the very end after being outplayed by an inferior Atlanta team AT HOME.

[This was also the same team that did get a jump on the Cards of 17-0, and then gave it all away....and gave Carson Palmer 400+ yards passing] to Arizona the last game of the season.....a game that might have given them the division title (had Seattle stumbled).

Not really. Even Eric Davis (the resident 9er homer) had Seattle #1 on his Power Rankings.

Prisco has Seattle as #3 (behind Denver and yes, the Niners). Also if you read the articles, it's all about how good the Niners are, how a Wildcard team goes to the Superbowl (read Niners), and how Seattle is vulnerable.

Yep, the niners are playing well right now and "theyre built for the playoffs". I want the niners to come to Seattle.

We're on a bye week, so there's no game to pump up for next weekend. :229031_shrug:

Net week, they'll have to talk about us, since we will be 25% of the games being played. :)
